Pokemon lock mechanism

Long story short, I had an accident on my own while playing on mobile, which raised discussion among my teammates.
It would be nice to have a mechanism like "Mark as favorite" which prevents the Pokemon with that mark from being released/sold/bred. And since the "gift" Pokemon mechanism is implemented, so is the lock flag, It should not be that hard (don't count me on it) to add that functionality for players.
As shiny hunter, it is very important for us.

I don't want to go into details because my issue is in progress.

This would be fantastic! It would be additionally helpful to apply a PIN number for unlocking a Pokémon, giving any account scammers/hackers that much more to worry about. I have roughly an entire box I would consider "lock-able."
