tg3
I'm working on a data collection application since there's no public API. As I play the game normally, it would log data by visually reading the text and images on the screen. It doesn't dive into RAM, it only sees what the player can see. It will never be a "bot," it is not going to take any actions in the game on its own, it will 100% just be used to collect and analyze public visual data. I wanted to check about the rules on this, because I think if "automation" were very strict, collecting robust game data could be considered "automation" I suppose, and I definitely don't want to risk my account. I'm interested in cataloging NPC team's variations, estimating encounter rates, etc. Nothing malicious. Thank you for reading <3 budadeth 1 Link to comment
realmadrid1809
Currently there are multiple encounter counters that do exactly that: they take screenshots of the game to gather data. So based on what you said your idea should be fine. Link to comment
