To me it seems pretty ridiculous that a factor in battle would be "should i send this out? i dont wanna spend 1k on a berry..."

20 battles = 20k. and that's if only one pokemon is holding a berry 

 

I think in PvP they should not be permanently taken away after a battle, and in this case the price of them should go UP to make them worth buying.

 

If it is decided that they should not be reusable then make the price go DOWN so buying 99 isn't an insane price of 99,000

I dont see this happening man, mostly because this game needs money sinks, and this is one of them, and anyway, the berry usage will be reduced when choice band get implemented ETA 2016

I think the price should be reduced then, maybe like 500-750 each berry

This suggestion would be helpful to you but not good for the money economy in game. It won't happen, and for good reason.

It's an MMO, and like all MMOs you have to pay for potions, even if you use it in PvP. I don't see a problem with the current system, allthough it might be discouraging for the less wealthy players to send out a berry-poke, you just gotta deal with it and play the MMO to its full extent rather than just PvP :)

 

PS: Join tournaments and you might win back more money than you've spent.
