Hello, and a Question

Hello! I've played a bit of PokeMMO now, and my first impressions have been great. It's really exciting to see hundreds of other trainers all around me who I can talk to, train and trade with, etc.

 

But...I have a question about that. (And I apologize if this does not fit in the Introductions forum.) What kinds of player interaction are actually available to a new player starting out? I am grinding my Pokemon in preparation for Brock, and based on the questions I've asked in game, I can't battle any other real people until I have at least one level 100 Pokemon. Is this true? If so, are there any alternative ways for me to interact with other people at this point? So far, it seems like I will have to spend many hours playing before really engaging with other players. This makes the game seem more like a traditional single player campaign with a built-in chatroom.

 

Am I missing something here? I really want to love this game, so please prove me wrong if you can!

you can battle every trainer with each lvl of your poke

e.g. six mons and all are lvl 1, so it is possible
