It's a trap.

I've seen a lot of confusion in the channels lately (I'm a night owl) over which types of abilities are needed to for Sp Atk and Atk. In Gen 3, there aren't different damage types for the same types of attacks, where as in the later generations types like Fighting would have Special damage based abilities and Attack damaged based abilities, Gen 3 works differently. Physical Types Bug Fighting Flying Ghost Ground Normal Poison Rock Steel For Example, if I wanted to give my fully Atk/Spd Dragonite a stab ability, I would give him a flying type attack but not a Dragon Type attack. A Dragon Attack would give moderate damage on a full Atk/Spd Dragonite, but a move like Focus Punch, Earthquake, or Steel Wing would be better because their damage is based on Atk where as Dragon Attacks are based on Sp Atk. Don't let move names like "Dragon Claw" confuse you, it's a Special Attack, not a Physical Attack. Special Types Dark Dragon Electric Fire Grass Ice Psychic Water Just like if I wanted my Gengar to be a more effective lead, instead of using a Ghost attack, I would take advantage of his vast move-pool using Sp Atk based abilities types like Dark, Electric, and Fire as opposed to Ghost which is Physical. I hope this cleared things up for the people having trouble. I myself had difficulty with this as before I started playing this game last week, I had been playing Smogon.

I spent ages finding a good magikarp but the biggest problem is that when its such a low level its impossible to tell the precise number. And when I finished training it to level 18 I realised 'Wow, this is a pile of shit'.

uh about the luck eggs and donating bonus... you do know that shit works on the Elite 4... they still make leveling up faster. "you need to see more of the game you can't do that if your level grinding on the E4" right because you see so much more of the game grinding on tangelas

So they'll keep stupid shit in like being unable to nickname traded Pokemon, but they'll lock us out of the E4 for 6 hours? That is absurd. I think the 6 hour waiting time should be removed completely, but if the money is removed and the EXP is kept in on extra runs until the 6 hour time is up, then I'm fine with that too. Kyu's remark on players "farming the elite 4 for hours and not enjoying the rest of the game" is also incredibly dumb. After the elite four, there is no "rest of the game" to enjoy, because there is no Cerulean cave or the other islands. Going by how long it takes for an update to roll out, and considering Christmas is close, I don't expect to see an update for at least 20 days from now. I doubt anybody would want to spend another 20 days grinding on those green tentacle shits when they could be doing E4 instead. For people who have their eyes set on the competitive scene and not the "rest of the game", the E4 is completely necessary. Also I'm fucking tired of Tangelas.
