Will I be able to keep my save information if its via save state? Also, do you mean a clean version of the original rom itself or the moemon version?

I updated the game file to get the newer sprites and it seems to be working fine with the exception of Spearow, who now currently bares resemblance to the old missing no. sprite from the gen 1 glitch. Help?
