I agree that smogon doesn't always have the best movesets and EV spreads, but most of them are pretty straight forward and all of them do work. The strategy they provided for Electrode however, is a straight forward and good strat. It's also the same strat provided by serebii btw.

I'm not gonna fight over what the best set is for electrode, because doing that would just be stupid. Everyone can use him differently and I am talking about using a Pokemon efficiently and taking advantage always. However, if you did lead Electrode with Rain Dance, you'd probably be KO'd before even using explosion, which in all honesty is what electrodes are useful for. I'll admit, the moveset I provided is risky, but it's better than having a chance of being KO'd before using explosion. I'd rather have an electrode who knows substitute and explosion than having an electrode with rain dance who gets KO'd before even having a chance to use Explosion.

I'm pretty sure this is 3rd gen, and I am solely talking about using raindance with Electrode for PokeMMO. I don't underestimate weather teams.
