was never expecting to i was planning to have 3 grass/fire sweepers 2 walls such as first of which is wheezing unsure of the last one and a lead to start the first sun

so in looking to make a sunny day team in ou; i know its not meta or probably even top tier but i'm going to make it any way. the main issue is kingdra and i cant seem to find anything that a safe swap into it. most fires and grass are not safe swaps due to ice beam surf/waterfall signal beam. wheezing is a safe swap but its move pool and stat distribution don't relay fit. i'm looking for suggestions that can come in against kingdra safely and deal with it. due to the lack of heat stone i'm looking for something preferably that can put up sunny day since i need 2-3 of my team to be able to put it up. but does not have to

cmon guys baton pass is not the problem its certain move sets that are the problem there was a reason ingrain+baton pass was banned in 2011 in smogon tournaments i would be fine with baton pass coming back full force with the changes that ninjask is moved to uber and smergal with baton pass can not hold a salac berry. the amount of time it takes to set up all your defenses and agility passes would give plenty of time to break through. some one mentioned earlier that bp was banned during a time when walls were pretty unbeatable. this is no longer the case now that there are things like mixed blazikan. and for those who don't know pursuit does get priority over baton pass its when baton pass is used on a switch that u can't out speed it there is enough power with life orb and choice scarf that breaking the chain early is not so bad there are tools now to deal with baton pass chains some of which i will list below which now work fully spikes(you guys ever subbed after taking 25% of ur hp it freeking sucks) taunt haze whirlwind taunt encore multi hit moves like double kick(breaks subs) its not unbeatable and should not be gimped directly its time for baton pass to come off the bench guys

i don't agree part of making a sunny day team is to deal with that kind of situation take rhydon for example hes naturally resistant to fire because hes rock but he is also weak to water the sun reduces the power of water moves reducing his weaknesses so he actually is a good pick for a sunny day team as its helps neutralize advantages an opponent gets from the sun as well as covers your own weaknesses like flying. other good things include things with thickfat like snorlax and haryima thick fat resists ice and fire which are both weaknesses for chlorophyll users like exeggcutor, victreebell, shiftree pardon my spelling yes your team should be able to function out side the sun as well as in but you want to pull as much advantage as possible out while in the sun if that means u run gigadrain over solarbeam on exeggcutor so be it. you still get a strong hp fire and patch up the speed. i'm not saying sunny day is easy in fact it takes more thought than just a standard team. its a way to bolster your offences in a meta dominated by walls.

Depends on the rest of your team hybrid usually does more consistent damage on its own as its harder to switch into however choice band dismantles things with decent prediction and a team that you can reliably switch into.

Personaly I like substitute as it stays when an opponent switches If you protect and an opponent switches you can't protect again I like leach seed Substitute Rain dance/synthesis/gigadrain (rain dance is for the rain dish ability) Toxic Seed rain dish and lefties is a lot of healing

why did u post here and made your own thread check ur other post you basicaly have a rain dance setup here you should abuse it more since it gives you a lot of beneft drop the arcanine drop flamethrower and firepunch on snorlax run a rain initializer like qwilfish electrode scarmory crobat place rain dance on ludico instead of synthisis run brick break/earthquake/tpunch/ice punch or something equivalent on snorlax wheasing is one of the best sunny day/rain dance walls run rain dance, thunder, wilowisp, and explosion/sludgebomb/painsplit preferences go to sb and explosion metagross looses his weakness to fire suppressed by raindance steel is not realy a concern for a raindance team since steel types have lower special def than average, surf will hit plenty hard (esp in rain) if you do still have trouble run brick break or earthquake on snorlax grats u have a realy strong rain dance team. in general snorlax runs chesto berry for curselax set

idk if blazikan can get swords dance i know he gets bulk up hp ice provides more coverage than hp grass on jolteon bit supprised to not see twave on jolteon but its fine with out cus ur running wish does tauros not get double edge? you plan on swapping into blazikan when a steel type comes in against venasaur? over all its fine psychic will give u the most trouble with that team and gl finding natured shinys with ok ivs

if ur not playing sunny day giga drain will be much stronger on ur executor than solarbeam arg clicked quote instead of edit fml

u should run sunny day on crobat since u cant get roost (for ur executor and houndoom) ya it almost looks like ur running a sunnyday set the only one out of place is steelix if your going to run sunny day you could do hp dark on houndoom with solarbeam loving the swords danceing counter sandslash tho may have to use that

gen 4 is probably best reference you fill the gaps in it with other gen 3 moves

ur lacking rain resetter or 2 a lead theres a couple of leads that i realy like qwillfish-spikes user and has a bit of attack so it can do things like swords dance waterfall and self destruct Electrode-fastest raindance and explode in the game-access to thunder and taunt scarmory-rain dance eliminates its weekness to fire sets up spikes etc if ur hellent on metagross run ice punch- hits pesky grass meteor mash-just goood eq-hits lighting and trick- choice band on difficult walls is realy good from what i can see ur gonna struggle with slowbro realy hard electrode is a good fix overall http://www.smogon.com/dp/articles/rain_offense its a good read and probably the most accurate for pokemmo takes some thought as to how you can adapt it to pokemmo for instance crobat in thier article runs something like rain dance super fang hypnosis taunt roost u turn while obviously we don't have access to u turn and roost we get access to the rest something i would do is rain dance super fang toxic taunt/hypnosis this set is not only a fast raindance but it puts the hurt on walls, probably forcing a swap a weekend wall doesn't last long against a sweeper that out run most everything in the rain

I think it depends on the type bold prefers rest over recover to utilize marvle scale while the calm doesent want to spend turns for not much aditional benefit and therefore runs recover Which allows toxic/toxic+knockoff as a solution Bold is a little trickier you can't rely on toxic since its more likely to run rest your best bet is to drop something to sleep it and power up on sp attack to try to break through since the bold version while sleeping has more def than special def a growth venasaur would definatly do it
