There have been so many things that have made me not want to buy poke x and y...
Mainly: The fact that you must pay a fee to transfer pokemon from earlier generations to x and y (after the 1 month period). I know that the easy solution is to just transfer all of the pokemon over in that 1 month time, but I love to go back and play a run through of Emerald and Heart Gold every once and a while (every time I restart those two games I have a 100% record of encountering and obtaining a shiny in the game. Recently Lunatone in Emerald and Rhyhorn in Gold). I don't understand why I would have to pay the fee since I would have to have already paid at least $80... I know that the fee is small, but it is the principal that is set by Game Freak. It just sends me the wrong message.
Nonetheless I would like to ask everyone if I should still get the game Pokemon X (I am an avid pokemon player and love competitive play), or should I simply wait for the R/S/E remakes?
It is five dollars. A year. If you can't afford that then there is no way you can afford x/y

I kind of like this about his style. It demonstrates that this isn't just a story, a timeline. It's a world, a universe, that we see through dozens of different perspectives at different points in time.
For example, the Red Wedding is probably the biggest climax of the 3rd book, even though it happens halfway through the book. But I don't see it as "oh this is the 3rd book with it's own story and climax and ending." I see the entire 3rd book as the climax of all 5 books released so far. And since the story is so long, it's going to have another massive climax, which has been alluded to be the very beginning of the upcoming 6th book, with two huge battles
I guess that's one way to look at it. I mostly just don't like it if a book is long for the sake of being long - I have other shit to do in my life and once I start a book I usually can't do anything until I finish it
