8. Congratulations to queulorior for winning the tournament and Kuriketto for coming second Thanks to everyone who turned up~
9. Blame the randomiser, maybe it has something against friendships~ The bracket will probably be randomised again anyways
10. Re-read the post, and according to Bulbapedia "Imprison prevents all opponents from using any move which is also known by the user. The effect of Imprison lasts until the user switches out or faints." So, yes, if a Pokemon calls Imprison through Metronome, the user will have to switch out.
11. Good point, I will need to test this later, thanks for pointing it out.
12. Any of the 3 listed in the OP, otherwise yeah.
13. Explanation:This is the Clefairy Cup. In this tournament, players pit their luck against each other by clicking Metronome as hard as they can while clasping their hands together and pray to the RNG (Random Number Gods). Special rules will be in place (please see below) to bring the most out of Metronome. Players will also be restricted to a specific set of Pokémon, shown below Pokemon Allowed:

Clefairy, Abra, Mankey, Machop, Geodude, Drowzee, Cleffa, Togepi, Smoochum, Aipom, Snubbull, Teddiursa, Plusle, Minun, Spinda, Volbeat, Illumise Details: 32 Players Level 30 3v3 (Singles) Normal Mode Location: Silph Co. Channel 7 Clauses: Species / Pristine / Bag Items (Except Leppa Berries and Pokéballs, when prompted) Date/Time Friday August 22nd 6PM EDT|10PM GMT|8AM AEST Registration Wednesday August 20th 6PM EDT|10PM GMT|8AM AEST Registration Method: Post your IGN in this thread once registration has occurred. I will allow two sign ups per forum account, given they are in different posts. Test posting in this thread will result in being unable to participate in the tournament. If you are on the bracket for this tournament and cannot attend please send me a PM, or post in the thread letting me know you cannot make it, this lessens the time it takes for signs ups the day of the tournament. Thanks in advance. The special rules: 1. Leppa Berries: The only item that can be used in this Clefairy Cup is the Leppa Berry. All Pokemon SHOULD be holding a Leppa Berry, however if you forget to equip one you won't be punished. This is used so that a player can use Metronome for as long as possible, in the event that a Metronome match might turn into a stall fight. If a Pokemon somehow manages to run out of Metronome PP even after consuming the Leppa Berry, the trainer will be asked to use a Leppa Berry from their bag (so stock up on Leppa Berries, which can be purchased at Saffron Mart). 2. Taunt and Mean Look/Spider Web/Block: In the rare event that a player rolls Taunt through Metronome, the taunted player must switch out immediately, so they can avoid using moves that aren't Metronome. However, in the even RARER event that a player gets Mean Looked/Spider Webbed and THEN Taunted, we must ask the taunted player to then throw Pokéballs until the taunt wears off. This is very unlikely to happen, but if it does, please throw Pokéballs when prompted by one of the referees that are present. 3. Imprison: If a Pokemon calls Imprison through Metronome, the Pokemon that used it must switch out. 4. Metronome only: This one speaks for itself. If you're caught using a move that isn't Metronome, be it by mistake or on purpose, you will be disqualified. Notes: Do not timeout your opponents unless stated otherwise by a referee Do not block your opponents or staff Disconnecting during your match will result in a disqualification Breaking a tournament rule can result in a disqualification Prizes: First place: Shiny Clefairy Second place: 500 RP Credit to Gilgamesh for the original idea of this tournament Bracket Reserves
chuur xxbrainjuicexx burntzebra sweendog RHENOR Goldeneyes Yettodie Anjoman joeisbest Telf abdfreak
14. I don't know about the other mods, but I feel it's unnecessary to have a specific section just for rating teams, players can post their teams in competitive assistance to get them rated, there's no need to made a completely separate subforum for it. It probably got trashed since no one used it anymore because people just made a new thread for getting their team rated. Plus, the thread started to get a bit cluttered with all the teams in the one thread.
15. On second thoughts, maybe just don't minus 1 for status if the Pokemon has guts, it's simpler like that. I might run this as an unofficial to see how it would turn out, that sound good?
16. That is a bit of a problem... Hmmm, maybe don't take points off for statuses, but instead scale the points based off how much hp the Pokemon has left? For example 50%-100% (i.e green health)gove more points than a poke with red health. That brings out another problem with entry hazards, if a Pokemon dies to entry hazards, should the Pokemon be counted as dead or alive? Anyways, I like the Mediocremons idea. Will look into it further when I have more time.
17. I guess if it's self induced status, a point will not be taken off. Also forgot to mention: protect and detect would be banned so people don't waste turns
18. One problem I see with that is we can't tell if someone predicted something or not, they could falsely claim to in order to gain points Patrick and I had an idea for a scoring system: at the end of the battle (probably 10-15 turns) -Each alive OU Pokemon gains three points. -Extra point(s) is awarded to those in lower tiers (+1 for UU, +2 for NU) -A point is taken off for status aliments or if the Pokemon is below half health An example of a team would be: -40% toxic'd Jumpluff (1 point) -Full health Pidgeot (5 points) -Nearly dead Snorlax (2 points) -Full health but paralyzed Starmie (2 points) -Rest of team dead This would give a total of 11 out of a possible 30. In the event of a tie, maybe there could be a sudden death match, which is 1v1 under taunt tournament conditions(no status moves allowed to prevent stall)? The system isn't perfect but it'd be interesting to try out Also, what do you guys think of a tournament where pokemon with total base defenses (HP+defense+sp.def) over a certain amount (maybe 275? for Skarmory) are banned? The biggest problem with this, as edIRL pointed out was the lack of Blissey/Snorlax to stop special sweepers, also set-up Pokemon like Gyarados and Salamence sweeping easily after getting a DDance up. Any other ideas?
19. I'm actually evil.
