  1. I agree with all the ThinkNice's statements, except the point 4. If a player have enough knowledge to referee a match, he is probably a competitive player and therefore wants to compete in tournaments. So why a competitive player would exchange the possibility of participate of tournaments to referee battles? It is a little bit contradictory for me. Would be better, for the player who wants to be CA, if he can participate of tournaments, but can't referee the tournaments he participate, and vice-versa. And as a reward he could have a reserved spot in a future tournament. So, for each tournament he referees, he gets a reserved spot. Sounds more attractive being a CA this way.
  2. Hmm, I see. I agree with you then, because Jolteon is immune to Twave in later generations.
  3. Yes, sand is too light, but I think this is ignored. The developers (of pokémon, not pokemmo) might think "oh, it is solid too, so should affect". And we can't measure how much high a pokémon it is, so maybe the sand can affect. Ok, about the walls. If steel and poison types are not immune to Toxic, we become dependent of Aromatherapy and the extinct Heal Bell. Blissey can use Aromatherapy and has access to Natural Cure, making she more overused. Weezing and Dusclops can use Will-o-Wisp. Venusaur can use Leech Seed. And a lot of pokémons can use TWave. So would be a massive use of Natural Cure pokémons, walls and parahax battles. Lum Berry would be obligatory. I don't care about Sand Attack, but removing the immunity types would be a mess.
  4. I know, that is why I was talking about Thunder Wave. About Sand Attack, I think it affects in the same way as Rock Slide. The pokémon throw sand instead rock and affect the pokémon in the air. Personally, I would change Bonemerang to hit Levitate and Flying types and during the Bounce/Fly turn in the air, due the logic of the move, but Marowak would be more powerful and he already has the higher attack in the game, tied with Slaking, I guess. Oh, and Rock Slide should affect the pokémons in the Bounce/Fly turn in the air too. About Will-O-Wisp, Leech Seed, Thunder Wave, Toxic, they should stay as they are, we don't have Substitute, so changing the immunities will eliminate the safe switches, making walls more powerful (sorry if I am talking shit here, I am not a expert in the actual metagame). And TWave doesn't affect Ground types like you said in the OP. Edit: Ok, it is fixed.
  5. No, just one: Not just me: Let's wait for more opinions, but I think you are the only one caring about this and seeing some relevance. If we gonna discuss the logic of the move, one person already said how Sand Attack probably works:
  6. Competitive players remain in the game. Casual players finish the storyline and become competitive players or get bored and eventually stop playing. So the metagame is important. Of course I pointing you didn't make a argument isn't a argument itself. If you don't have any valid point why Sand Attack shouldn't hit Flying types and Levitate users, I don't have nothing to discuss, just point that you didn't explain why doesn't make sense. And I even tried explain the reason why Sand Attack hit these pokémons (was Normal type in gen 1) to make you understand that Sand Attack isn't a relevant move and maybe because of that its effects wasn't changed.
  7. Toxic doesn't affect Poison and Steel types, Will-o-wisp doesn't affect Fire types and Leech Seed doesn't affect Grass types. If we change the Thunder Wave effect, we have to alter the metagame and the immunities. Probably Sand-Attack affect Flying types because in gen 1 was Normal type, so maybe works like a Normal move. Or it is intentional. Anyway, Sand-Attack isn't really a competitive move and its effect can be canceled in a switch. Thunder Wave is, and shouldn't be changed because 'doesn't make sense'. It will affect the metagame and has to be discussed with valid arguments.
  8. Effect Generation I Sand-Attack decreases the target's accuracy stat by one stage. Sand-Attack is a Normal-type move in this generation. Generation II and on The effects of Sand-Attack are the same as the previous generation, however it is now a Ground-type move. Although it is a Ground-type move, it still affects Flying-type Pokémon and those with the Ability Levitate. It doesn't make sense, but it is a original effect of the game.
  9. Well, I was trying to help, but since it is not welcome I will stop doing this. (I think Fabel edited the OP after this little discussion, but I can't prove and it doesn't matter anyway)
  10. Yes, that i s how Fabel put, but there is nothing in the rules saying anything about spoilers. This contest has a lot of participants and it is annoying clicking in all of them. They don't need to hide, they need to show their jobs. I didn't know the egg in the poster was Elekid. They are similar and I didn't look the list to know if was really Growlithe, doesn't matter anyway, my point is the two eggs are similar, so the participant who drew should make a different one to avoid conflict.
  11. If we can use customized egg sprites, we should make a contest and each participant can draw all the possible eggs. The best eggs are chose and used in the game. Each chose egg give points and the participant with more points wins the contest.
  12. Why some people use spoiler to hide the eggs? It is a 28x30 picture, you don't need use spoiler. Btw, I think the Growlithe's egg design is the same in the banner.
  13. Now the +Weather, +Agility, +Salac, +DD boosts are colored for better visualization. Edit: And I removed the pokémons with some boost of the search tool.
  14. I don't know if you are replying to the OP or my post, but I will reply just in case. We have mixed breeding mechanics, but the gen 4 & 5 stop right here. Just breeding mechanics and moves doesn't make this a gen 4 or 5. The moves are still special or physical according the types. I am not counting with gen 4 mechanics or Hoenn soon, so we have to think in gen 3. And in gen 3, elemental punches are good to a Gengar. And we haven't access to the punches via breeding, because Dusclops moveset is still gen 3. Even after we have 4th gen, the move tutors could be useful to other pokémons. So why are you against a temporary solution, which is not hard to implement, knowing that definitive solutions in PokeMMO take several months to happen? Edit: The moves could be taught as prizes in Game Corner.
  15. I didn't like the green, could be more darker.
  16. Is it possible implement the Fire/Ice/Thunder punches Move Tutors in the next update? Gengar is the only pokémon, that I can remember, that doesn't learn the move via breeding in the 3rd gen, but has access via move tutor. Dusclops learns naturally in 4th gen, so Gastly could learn via breeding, but not in 3rd gen. Or a Gastly with Fire and Ice Punch could be a prize of a tournament as temporary solution.
  17. There is not the discussion thread. :P I have the Smeargle egg designed in my head, but we can make just two entries.
  18. Team Mascot Art Contest The participants choose any team and make a art with a pokémon. The pokémon is the mascot and must be based in the characteristics of the team, of course.
  19. Ohh, ok. I have a suggestion. btw. Can we use the points, after the Olympics, to trade for little prizes? Like items, tms, cosmetics, gc prizes.
  20. You don't need wait the eggs in Island 4 or hatch your eggs there (I recommend Cycle Road in Route 17).
  21. Why the thread is unlocked before the registration time?
  22. I don't know if it is true, but I asked once about this and this player answered me. Seems legit. Even if it is possible, and about the double types?
