I apologies for the short notice.
Official tournaments have a much more complex posting method than unofficial tournaments. I have actually been trying to get this ready for about a month but it was not available until just a few days ago. I will not be going into the process itself, but I will say that in the end my choices were either to not hold the tournament due to the short notice, or post it knowing there would be little time. Frankly, the latter seems like the better option. -

In the event of an explosion both players will whisper their ref which Pokemon they will send out to avoid manipulation of the bug.

Yes, sadly. This is mainly due to the fact that all other crashes can be manipulated (example: turning off your router).

how do you prove that it was caused by a fatal render error? what i=counts as a fatal render error?
You will get a popup similar to this when your client crashes:
Screenshot it (along with your whole screen as proof it's you) and send me the image via forums/teamspeak.
Sending me your console log will help as well.

Welcome to the Official PokeMMO Team Tournament of October.
These are monthly competitive tournaments where teams can test their skill against each other.
Players battle as teams (3 at a time). You can switch out who is competing between rounds.[LYLE] KingCheerios will be given the opportunity to defend their title from September. They have earned a registration slot.
We will have three types of battles per round. These metas will include OU, UU, and doubles (OU). I, being the host, will call teams and have their team leader whisper me which players are dueling in which type of battle. Example: "[PRLS] Peerless vs. [BSDO] Bushido, leaders please whisper me which members are battling in which meta". After this, I will relay the information to referees. From there, referees can pick out who they want to watch and post. Example: "PlayerName vs AnotherPlayer (OU) at the bottom table please".
I know this system had conflicted feedback, but I believe it's worth a shot. If it doesn't turn out well, it's something to learn from for future events.

What I liked:
The story of course. I do believe that this is how it should have been from the start. It's much better than the anime. I guess I'm attached to it because I grew up on FireRed. I liked the small bits of comedy.
Things I didn't like:
Simply too much was missed between episodes.
