  1. Because razi is incorrectly blaming the game devs and not xsolla for the exchange rate. And it can be circumvented by using a different currency exchanger (your bank is generally very good for this) and then using that usd to pay and fully avoid xsollas exchange rate
  2. Straight to the personal attacks. good going man.
  3. It is, its 100 USD. They just dont like the exchange rate that xsolla offers them.
  4. this isn’t a tax, this an the exchange rate that xsolla offers (including their brokerage fee). If you don’t like the offer, your best bet is exchanging elsewhere and circumnavigate it completely. This is standard for payment systems and you’ll see the same xsolla exchange rate problem across many games.
  5. This money goes straight to xsolla as an exchange rate fee and has nothing to do with MMO. Nothing MMO staff can really do about it. Youre best of .letting your own bank do the conversion and pay a lower fee and paying in usd.
  6. Wow this concept is sick. I think having Box access in this menu is vital though for it to be able to work
  7. According to convention itll come when it comes and you have no idea until it drops
  8. This is just lying for the sake of lying at this point, Pumpking hard mode is only available during halloween and the abundant shrine map only during lunar new year. The starmie scavanger hunt generated 12,000 messages also being a seasonal event only topic.
  9. Allow me to extend my gratitude for the meticulous and detailed analysis you have presented regarding the Pokemmo Duders Discord community's engagement statistics. The granularity of the data, coupled with the clarity of your observations, paints a compelling portrait of the evolving priorities of the Pokemmo player base. The ascendance of raid-related discourse to such a dominant position within the community is nothing short of remarkable. The progression from Lunar New Year 2023, through Halloween, and culminating in the Christmas event underscores a consistent and unambiguous trajectory: raids have emerged as the preeminent driver of communal interaction and enthusiasm. Indeed, the staggering figure of over 50% of all event-related messages being tied to raids during the recent Christmas event is a testament to the feature's resounding success. Particularly intriguing is the prominence of channels such as "lf-raid," which bespeaks the inherently cooperative and collaborative nature of raid gameplay. This phenomenon highlights the social fabric of the Pokemmo experience, wherein players are not merely participants in a game but active collaborators in shared endeavors. Such trends are instructive, both for the community and for the developers, as they illuminate the elements of gameplay that resonate most profoundly with the audience. I am compelled to inquire whether this wealth of data has yielded any discernible patterns in player feedback or suggestions within these channels. Are there recurring themes or innovative ideas that might inform the future evolution of raids or event content? It would be most enlightening to explore how the developers might harness this enthusiasm to further refine and expand upon the raid concept. Once again, I commend you for your diligence and dedication in compiling these statistics and sharing them with the community. It is through such efforts that we gain a deeper understanding of what binds us together as players and enthusiasts. May the year ahead bring even greater innovations and opportunities for collaboration within the Pokemmo universe. - Chatgpt (might as well be michele cause its the same thing anyways)
  10. no need to be weird about it. Just sharing some info that i thought some people might be interested in.
  11. If there’s no enthusiasm or interest in the feature then you drive no interaction even if these things exist. You have to have a level of base interest to drive discussion even if it’s critical discussion. if they’re no interest in the feature then it will also get limited negative interaction. If the majority of the discussion is negative then that strengthens the fact that people are interested in the feature and want it to get better.
  12. These have a underlying factor of it being summer. Social excitement is in a significant proportion of the time the driving factor of social interactivity about something.
  13. Yeah but your weather talk percentage is far lower than these percentages (or at least i hope so otherwise i’m sorry for everyone around you)
  14. even if you remove the lf-raid channel which is about finding a link for one for team coordination, its still 4-5x bigger than any other feature the events had.
  15. For those of you who dont know, I'm a moderator for the Pokemmo Duders discord (commonly known as patrouski discord. This discord (https://discord.gg/patrouski) has 25,000 members along with 7,500 weekly visitors making it the biggest Pokemmo community run discord and the second largest Pokemmo discord after the official one. Along with moderator functions i also have access to statistics relevant to the discord. Over the last couple of events ive been tracking which channels drive the most conversation to guage community popularity for aspects of the event. since Lunar new year 2023. Other event specific channels: For the Lunar new year 2023 these were the stats for messages during the event for the top 3 channels. Top 3 channels (messages sent): Over 110,000 unique messages 1. General (48,389) 2. lunar-raid-discussion (17,740) 3. swarm-discussion (9,221) As you can see, the return of raids generated significantly more discussion than every other feature the event had by a significant margin, over doubling the interest in swarm chat and significantly outshining the abundant shrine gameplay. Halloween showed that this success was not just a one of and pushed raids to the number 1 talked about topic of the event, with team searching become our most used channel. With Over 145,000 unique messages, raids dominated over 30% of the entire discords conversation during the event. Top 3 channels (messages sent): 1. hween-lf-raid (28,000) 2. general (22,010) 3. hween-raids-talk (18,287) This christmas event has showed that raids are clearly the number 1 priority for players and is testament to the popularity of the feature. This event raids took up over 50% of all messages sent in the discord, clearing any other topic by a significant margin. No other feature in the game has driven as much conversation as raids have over the last year. Top 3 Channels (Messages Sent): 155,000+ unique messages 1. raid-discussion (42,471) 2. lf-raid (35,199) 3. general (29,909)
  16. i think this is your first problem. The entire point of this content is that is a challenge designed for experienced players with significant resources to sink their teeth into and not a feature for the entire playerbase. This is a good thing, it gives players a more concrete goal to work towards. It’s meant to be a build up towards this feature and not a let’s just do it because it’s fun without proper significant preparation. It’s why i feel the current free barrier to entry isn’t what the feature needs because it allows a low quality player to enter without problem and gives people the idea that this feature is for everyone. With Heatran having it being locked behind OT dex and all regions completed as well as sinnoh post game makes it very clear that a level of difficulty should be expected. For sure agree with this but the devs are highly aware that this is the case. Removing this as a requirement isn’t the right solution though, we should be given the tools in order to properly enable proper coordination. These features will come and the game will be better off for it. For sure, when the feature becomes more permanent the rewards will also match the that nature unlike the seasonality of raids lending itself to less useful rewards.
  17. remove this warning while egging, particularly for super common alphas like the event ones. For alpha starters i understand it more as theyre unobtainable completely. Wastes so much time going through the animation waiting for the yes to unlock. Also, Make the breed menu pop up at the same time as the pc menu instead of having them both pop in half a second apart. its really disturbing when youre trying to egg fast
  18. Would cost you 750 usd in riot points to unlock every character
  19. Another good option for one of your trick room mons is to run solar power sunflora with weather ball, at 30 base speed its perfect for something like this and hits super hard with 100 base power fire type weather ball and the ability to hold an item, which unless you go quiet chandelure youre not about to naturally outslow the jirachii without a hold item like room service or iron ball, Hitting the 6% cap with even just a charcoal compared to base chandelure doing about 4.2-5%.
  20. Lucky chant is a great counterplay move for this. Was used to success in the very first lopunny raid that existed to saftely setup metagross's. Setup is currently too aggressivly punished though to make it properly viable to go for atm. Again speaks to how the community finds a stratergy that works and then copies it en mass rather than trying to find their own way that works. Nothing inherently wrong with the fight but more of human psychology. This for sure, though even when the game does give explainers (like for example with items and species clause) people just ignore what it says anyways and then complain that their team doesnt work. This is partially why i think locking all raid content behind OT dex like heatran. It means players participating will at least have a proper baseline to work with, youll prevent more trolls and highly inexperienced players with a higher barrier to entry (youll never get rid of them completely).
  21. Looking forward to it. did 10/12 solo this event, small improvements will make a big deal to the overall experience so looking forward to see how these problems are solved
  22. Big things that matchmaking needs are the ability to see your teammates teams and the ability to access the pc box to adjust your team. Have the link chat pop out and make it so people stick to their language queue.
  23. Getting a foothold into this game is probably at one of the easiest points in the games history. Just purely with the amount of information thats available to new players that didnt exist even when i started back at the end of 2021. I personally had to make significant contributions to pioneering advanced gym runs stratergies bringing the standard from ~20 gyms an hour up to the 30-33 that most popular stratergies today do, being the first player to hit 27,28 and over 30 gyms in a single run. The amount of money making guides that have been created from e4 solve documentation to optimised ditto farming to Trainer rerun route just to name a few examples within an endless list. Additionally, extra money makers have been added to the game for example red refights and ho-oh boss fights. Less content and less high level content means its objectively harder to make the step up from a beginning player into an advanced one. Now the curve is far more refined for players in that middling transition that those starting before werent privy to. Perfect example of suvivorship bias at play here. For every succesful investment that an OG player has made and that you actively see playing are hundreds who have quit the game because their investments did not pay off at all. However due to you only seeing those that are successful, it highly warps your perspective of what the standard is.Also an investment of a period of 5-7 years is for sure not an instant financial win My problem with this is that during raid testing LNY 2023, most these restrictions did not exist and yet the same problems arose of the community figuring out a simple stratergy that worked and then on mass sticking to it rather than seeing significant stratergic variability like you'd like to see in an ideal world. Id agree that the stat boosts loss is a little to aggressive for my liking, but stratergies that rely on flinch and confusion rolls should not be inherently succesful stratergies due basically being rng shutdowns with no counterplay. Taunt was invariably used in order to entirely skip the boss mechanics with 0 possibility for it to counterplay so is rightfully ignored. This just isnt the case in my opinion, the items and moves that have been restricted in their power are ones that have been specifically targetted due to their ability to fully negate the entire principle of the raid design. The amount of possible options out there is significant. Its why every raid from this event has required a different stratergy. If you allowed hundreds of possible stratergies to work across all raids, people will just pick the one that works the best, the most often and therefore creating the same stale meta while also lowering the difficulty.
  24. Managed to get this solo queueing 10/12 raids. Did Togekiss and Tangrowth with teammates found in pats discord, first link attempt. Its certainly manageable to do solo, Yes it requires a lot of resetting before turn 1 and filling in support roles for more complex raids (for example for salamance i ran 3 support mons (Xatu magic bounce tw Gothitelle Heal block and murkrow mental herb tailwind)) as your teammates are far more likely to spam damage. The difficulty was at a really good level personally. Access to seeing your random link mates teams and being able to access your box at the pillar would fix basically all the problems that solo queue has along with popping out the link chat and forcing people into their respective language queue.
