I decided to watch Pokemon again for X & Y because of my recent interest in picking up the game again.
52 Badges Later
Ash and Pikachu act like complete balls and they know nothing at the beginning of the region.
I don't understand.
52 FUCKING BADGES
How on god's green earth is Pikachu suddenly balls at the beginning and losing?
I don't care that Ash doesn't age
That there's no romance
That they add in new people
That they go to new regions
That he loses to the Elite Four
But how on GODS GREEN FUCKING EARTH do Pikachu and Ash lose to the first gym in Kalos to a fucking surskit?
They've been through so many battles together, yet it's like game freak and nintendo just press an 'oops i forgot about the tremendous amount of battles we've had together' .
*spoiler here*
The first couple episodes were awesome. They showed Ash meeting new friends, getting a new starter, saving pikachu by jumping off a Eiffel tower gym and being caught by Mega Evolution Blazekin, but seriously losing to his new friend almost, who's just barley been a pokemon trainer? Then losing to the first gym? Lets not forget the part where they ask if he has 4 badges? The fucker has 52 and he's like NOPE NONE. How do 52 badges not make you a pokemon master? Do you need 1000? You don't suddenly turn to fuckery over night.
At least One Piece and Bleach made fucking PROGRESS. It's like 'gotta catch em all' doesn't matter, that went out the window 500 pokemon ago. So why exactly is he on this journey? Clearly he hasn't gotten better since he left pallet town and he's not helping fill up the pokedex for fuckall. So wtf?
I don't know about you but it's just fucking frustrating as hell to me. I understand they want to milk it for money, but just fucking REMAKE the original and reair it for new people to watch and give it a real fucking ending or something.

Why do you think that Ash's age hasn't progressed and the skill level of him and his pikachu seems to 'reset' at every new region?
