The fact they tried to implement it AT ALL shows how shit Microsoft is as a video game company. If you think they won't try this bullshit again only more gradually, you must be kidding yourself.
Consoles and the "console war" in general are terrible. They use outdated hardware and then make thier own exlcusive titles so that you HAVE to spend money on their console if you want to play that one new interesting IP. And on top on all this, they charge for their own "premium online service." And now it's even less about games and more about shoving "the social experience" down your throat. And don't even get me started on game developers and the casual market.
