    All REDS Report in.

    Background:
RED GUILD is a guild dedicated to Boss (read Baus)-type Pokemon. Unlike other guilds, it is absolutely required (and advised) to have a team consisting only of this type.
    Rules:
    1. Be Red.
    2. Or Bleed Red.
    Features:
    - Guild Home - The last thing all those pokemon saw in Spook Tower was RED. Spook Tower is our Haunt now.
    - Giveaways - free revives for all our fallen trainers. never forgot laxmon. free asswhuppins for all the rest.
    - Opportunity to advance an obscene amount of Guild ranks
More features will be added depending on when I'm able to copy and paste more of Spectre's guild.
    Requirements:
-Must speak a vertebrate (NO INVERTEBRATES)

When you release your Pokemon, it apparently goes back into the wild. In the games, one can never really tell.

But in PokeMMO, when you release your Pokemon, it actually does go back in the wild. The fun doesn't end yet.

Your pokemon retains its level, moveset, nickname, everything. Even the OT data.

Now, because it's in the wild, ANY player has the chance to encounter and capture it. Even the OT (which would make for an interesting situation).

    Counter arguments:
"What if you release a level 100 Pokemon? If it lands in Route 1, it's going to rape new players!"
Released pokemon will be managed by level, and then environment. There multiple ways of dealing this.
    Example:
I release my level 100 Nidoqueen. Since it is level 100, one option would be to place it in an area with high level pokemon. In Kanto, the area of choice would of course be the Cerulean Cave. Though it still out classes the normal level 60~ native pokemon, that area is available to people who have finished the main game, and will presumably have high level pokemon to deal with that situation.
Another option would be to scale back the level so that it fits with the area it is put in. In the Cerulean Cave, Nidoqueen could be scaled to level 50-60, thus eliminating any overpowered issues.
When we consider the "environment", we categorize Pokemon much like Fire Red and Leaf Green already did. That is, put water pokemon in water areas, cave pokemon in caves, etc. Not hard to implement, since it really only puts the pokemon in lists. In fact, these lists should already exist in the game, IIRC. Still, if we ever get to Gen IV or V pokemon, they might have to be updated/differently implemented.

"Wouldn't this tax the server, since it would have to keep track of all those released Pokemon?"
Not sure how much of a counter argument this is, since the server already keeps track of all the pokemon we catch, storing more Pokemon for the sake of wild encounters doesn't appear to be that much more unreasonable. The next point expands on this.

"What if the Pokemon the player wants to get rid of is so bad, that no one will ever want to keep it? What if it gets caught by another trainer, only to be released again?"
This could lead to a serious problem, since if this left unmanaged, the server would eventually be storing lots of unnecessary pokemon data, thereby wasting space.
However, this can be easily avoided by implementing a counter or check system, which could keep track of how many times a pokemon is released before actually erasing it from existence.

I like the idea of announcements, as I don't see that many people releasing Pokemon to begin with.
I wouldn't be so sure. Just because someone released a high level pokemon doesn't mean that high level trainers are going to rush in and take it.

Ladies and gentlemen, we have our incentive. Of course, having a swarm of pokemon getting released just to be shiny could be a problem. Maybe we could have it based on chance e.g. 1% of becoming shiny, 5% of increasing all IV's to at least 20 and one 31, 10% chance of having an IV be 31, etc.
