1. These days I only go on the forums to read this kind of threads as there's always one active.

For me the game peaked when me and my friends played, when there was only Kanto and some islands (if I remember correctly). The elite 4 wasn't implemented yet so everyone just hung out in victory road grinding exp on their pokemon and chatted like we were playing club penguin.

At that point, the goal of the game was just to have as filled of a pokedex as possible and the entire game was more like a treasure hunt constantly searching for "easter egg" pokemons and less like pokemon showdown but also with the the annoyance of breeding and trading. Those were the times.

As for life expectancy, it's like YIBU says, the game will live as long as the devs are enjoying developing on it and adding new stuff, regardless of how many people come and go in the process.

  2. I pop in on these forums from time to time but it has been a long time since I was in game (just when Hoenn had been implemented I believe).

I started playing because gen 3 was being featured but back in those days there wasn't even an elite 4 so everyone were just grinding exp in victory road and couldn't even go to the sevii islands.

I have no longing for this period of the game, I think I did 4 runs when only the FRLG content was available and as Kyu said, I got my share of playing only gen 3.

To me it seems like the game is improving, automated tournaments seems like a great idea, if it has a skill bracket it seems even better. I also support the idea of continously adding content to the game, nintendo has never made a game where you can visit all places and find almost all pokemon so if it was to happen here I think I'd be more inclined to log back on.

I understand your concern with changing things that might alienate some players, back in 2014 I didn't want any other gens then gen 3 because that's all I knew, but now I rather see it as a step to introduce something new to players who might not have played beyond gen 3 rather than something that will drive those away.

  3. I can give you an explanation for free!

Besides you being overly obsessed, you are quite needy for always wanting to have an answer.

This is like a job application. You apply for a job and if they want you they get back to you. If you get back to them over and over about your application they will decide that they don't want you for that single reason only. I'm not being harsch on purpose but this is probably the reason they don't want you there. I have run a gaming community with my own server once and if there's anything that sets of warning flags it's overly ambitious people because you think the only reason they want in is because they want to be powerfull. My advice, lay low, get more playtime and stop unintentionally harrassing the staff by having them reply back to you.

  4. I like what OP is suggesting, something to do when you've finished everything.

I'd like to have more things to do, catching, showing or killing pokemons aren't enough. Perhaps deliver stuff from Oak to his aides, maybe make more daily aides and scatter them around.
Perhaps something harder could be beating a trainer with a pokemon that is lower level than all of his pokemon, still not insanely hard but it will require some work, you'll have to battle a trainer.
Extending it further could be winning a 1 v 1 pvp battle when both are same level, will make comp playing a bit more known and even if it doesn't you'll have to find someone who you can farm it on which will take time.
Another daily could be, win x amount of coins in the game corner. In case you already have 9999, getting 40 but only gaining 3 still counts as getting 40.

I'm not really bothered by the reward, it could be game corner vouchers or something less useful like a store where you can buy ethers but I like the system of doing stuff on a daily basis.
Just not too few things to do.

  5. I've had the same problem with him not showing up on one of my character as I'm about to give him the parcel.
The one where Oak is gone when you're about to deliver the parcel is known, but I'm not sure with the second.

Burn him before you battle the smeargle via a duel. Use your imagination people.
Can someone explain why this matters and how it works?
Does burn make your pokemon deal less physical damage?

  7. So I started playing today, beat the elite four, the rich trainers on island 5 and then I went to see if I could find a good skarmory.

As I'm catching the last one I'm starting to run out of balls and I go back to the pc to check if I got any good natures, and then I noticed this.

    Box5:

    Box 6:

    Box 7:

    Box 8:

    Box 9:

Clearly, all boxes up to box 9 should be full, yet they aren't.
I can tell I've lost an Adamant Teddyursa and I know for a fact that I've had 2 delibirds.
Now I can only see one on box 7.

Okay so I restarted the game to see if there was anything wrong on my end, and there was.
I got all my pokemon back, here's a screenshot of box 6:

I decided to create the thread anyway, so that the developers realise that it exists.

What this bug does it hides some pokemon in your pc and they only come back after you restart the game. It should obviously not be this way but all the pokemon should always show.

  8. The one with the sweet scent effect and increased movement speed sounds really appealing to me.
The soup one seems kind of redundant as you can just use regular items.

The in-battle effects should probably be avoided, but for example make a tee that makes you encounter more pokemon with the type your first pokemon in your party is super against.
So for example if you have a Pikachu in the front of your party and give him the tea you will have a higher chance to encounter pidgeys if they can be encountered where you are or zubats if in a cave.

The double type pokemon would not be as effective but still would not be guaranteed to meet pokemon your first pokemon is super against, just an increased chance.

Allowing donate items to be tradable will not occur as we do not want donators to greatly effect the ingame economy.
If you make it so that they are tradable within the same account people who buy one can share it with their other characters.
Alternatively you can make the User PC contain items through the account so that you can share items within the account easier and a donator benefit could be expanding the user PC.

  10. I would like an option where you can block people why type in normal chat. If someone types in channel you can block them by right clicking their name in the normal chat but if you are in a crowded area, like Viridian on channel one or two and someone starts spamming in the chat you can't actually block them like that you need to right click their name.

  11. Ok got it again, will post console log

Hopefully you will find a solution to this, good luck.

  12. If you try to run and you get the message can't escape the bottom half of your battle window will become transparent and the only way to fix it is to close the game.

It's really annoying and I've had to restart the game about 5 times now because of it.

And I just got it after I tried to catch a pokemon, after the 5th failed pokeball or so I got the same bug, here's a screenshot of it.

I had to close the game after this and when I got back I was fortunately in the pokecentre just above the powerplant but still. I feel that this needs to be addressed.

So this has happened to me every time I've gotten the "can't escape" message when trying to run and when I've tried to catch pokemon but failed too many times in a row.

I hope this will be fixed soon, it's really annoying.
