Hello there, A while back just before the 10yr anniversary event I decided that I wanted to mess around with honey trees as gen 4 were my favourite Pokemon games growing up and I fondly remember spreading honey and being extremely excited about what could appear. I did some digging to find out if the honey trees were different in PokeMMO as some things are from the main title games and found loads of info on the trees but little to no confirmed info on the Honey Gather mechanic in PokeMMO... so I decided to do it myself. Here is my YT video on the Topic. (pls no flame, im new to YT creation lol) The TLDR: Honey tree info: - 3 ways to obtain honey in game: Buy it through the GTL, Buy it from the man in the meadow, Farm it with your little bee friend. - 2 Main uses for honey in game: Selling or smearing it all over yellow trees. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Honey Gather info: - The typing of Pokemon you are battling with your Combee matters, you can only farm honey from; Grass, Bug, Ghost, Poison, Normal, Dark, Dragon. - Dual types must contain 2 typings that you can farm honey from to pick up honey from them, if they contain a non-farmable type then you will not collect any Honey from them. - You can't collect honey from hoards 😞 - Lvl of wild Pokemon battled has no change on drop rates. - Having multiple bees in your party will not give you extra chances of collecting honey (I was really hoping this would work, would be pretty cool!) - States in Ability description that "Potential to pick up honey from Encounters" you must K.O the pokemon for a chance to pick up honey, running does not work. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Drop Rate: After 300 encounters I determined the drop rate to be 10.3%, so from that I deduce the drop rate for Honey Gather even on a lvl100 Bee is 10%. In the main stream games it is 50% at lvl100 so its pretty significantly lower but PokeMMO has a live economy to think about which factors into drop rates. Yeah thats pretty much it.
