I did and it gets me out of the area but I still can't progress through the game because the prof is still there with zigzagoon. Up until today I still didn't get any replies from the bug report:((

So I started a new region in hoenn and chose a pokemon. While I was battling with zigzagoon after choosing, the server shut down and I didn't finish the battle. When the server came back, my game restarted to the point where I am to choose which pokemon I should pick, but I already have a pokemon with me before the server went down. When I tried to choose again my 2nd pokemon, my character froze and I couldn't move. I couldn't go south either as the professor prevents me from going south. I can't progress further into the game. Please help me. Attached below is a video link of the said matter. I opened a ticket yesterday as soon as the server went back but no one attended to it yet.
