seems like a pretty good idea to me, and it doesn't sound like it would be too much work to code it into the next update. i wouldn't be surprised if the developers had already planned on it, since it's a pretty simple and useful feature

by those standards, tippy would have one too, cause magnemite is one of my favorites as well. but i offered a sig to one person; the person who guessed my single favorite, #1, top-shelf, pokemon in this game won the prize. sorry man :/ i'll do another one of these soon enough, but i can't give away too much of my time, as i have paid requests to do as well, and i have to respect my commitment to my actual paid customers, so it may not be right away. i also don't want to destroy my own business by implying that you can just as easily get a free sig as you can get a paid sig :P

actually, this color scheme can look pretty great, if you use the right shades and blend the colors properly. in my opinion, virtually any hues can look good together, if you experiment with the shades. here's an example that i made many years ago: and here's the image i had in mind when i wrote down number 8: ANYWAY, SHERVINS won! it was 4. blue, cyan, orange, light pink, white can be a really beautiful color scheme if you play around with it :) ROUND THREE: First person to guess my favorite Pokemon, out of all the pokemon in PokeMMO (gens 1-3, but excluding any pokemon not found in PokeMMO) gets the second sig! This sounds like it'd be ridiculously hard, but each person is allowed to pick FIVE pokemon! AGAIN, you're not allowed to pick any pokemon that have already been picked, so choose carefully :)

I had an interesting idea. I don't know how many Photoshop designers we have on here, but it seems that the graphics community here is not given much space to really do graphics-related things. I have a graphics request thread in Trade Corner, where I make people graphics in return for lucky eggs, money, lvl50 comps, TMs, and other PokeMMO items. I'm hoping to expand the graphics community here on this forum, because I know wherever there is a popular message board, there are always Photoshop graphic designers! We love what we do, but it's so much more rewarding when there is a large community to share the experience with. Socialization is such a huge part of the internet graphic design world. Critiquing, comparing, requests, all that stuff. But one of the most important components is competition. Anyone who's spent any time on a graphic design forum (like NSL, GameRenders, tagmonkey, FringeFX, etc) when they were active (long time ago) knows that graphics battles are fucking sweet. Who doesn't love fighting to the death over virtual art? The art doesn't even exist! It's fucking badass. I'm making this thread just to see a kind of head-count of who else is capable of using Photoshop, and would be interested in battling other designers! There would be tournaments, which would be sponsored by whoever wants to sponsor them... Prizes being eggs, money, pokemon, shit like that. But more frequently would be the 1v1 or 2v2 battles, where everyone puts something in the pot and the winner receives both. Of course, in both types of competition, other members vote on the winner. Perhaps it would be smart to designate non-biased judges, since although there's no real way to prevent rigging, we want to prevent bribery/rigging as much as possible. The contestants should not be allowed to know who the judges are, basically. We will even have rankings, that way so and so will know beforehand if he will be able to compete with so and so. This is how we did it on the graphics forums. We would have these rankings: Novice, Moderate, Intermediate, Semi-Pro, Professional. That way, you know who you're fighting beforehand. We'll have a thread that lists every battle designer, and what his ranking is. And we'll have a group of 3 or 5 of the most skilled designers run a thread, where designers can post their work and we will rank them accordingly, and put them in the list as whichever rank we choose. As they get better, they will post new work in the thread, and if they have progressed, we will increase their rank. Members will be able to battle anyone of any rank, as the ranks are really more just warnings to people with lower ranks. No novice wants to bet a lucky egg only to find out later they're facing a semi-pro. Anyway, here's a thread where we can talk the whole thing through, and get a feel for how many people will benefit from this. PS: I'm not asking for an extra subforum to be put in. I think we could do our battles in this forum. Just label the thread titles [BTTL] or [TRNY] before the rest of your title, that should be good. But if a staff member joins us in this thread, we could talk it through. It would be even cooler to find out that a staff member here is into graphics too.
