Hello again friends. It seems I was wrong to not allow an extension for the Julian vs Ghost match. I stand by not giving either player the win but it seems the consensus is there should of been an extension. I was against an extension because of how little effort went in to planning their match to begin with, a vague time and leaving it until the last minute knowing Ghost had power problems. Julian and Ghost will be given an extension until the end of Week 4.

It really isn't, all people have to do is nailed down a time, which if you had done would of got you the win. He asks to play, and then disconnects, obviously he can't play. So reading through those logs Hopy linked of sparkie logging in. He logs in, posts "thought there was a post?" at 23:21:24. Doesn't post anything until 23:24:57 where you get "xSparkie has reconnected." Which would mean he had disconnected some time between 23:21:24 and 23:24:57. In which time, in fact 7 seconds before he reconnects, you post "not to be a uguu but I do have to work @7am tomorrow morning...". It is not just possible, but incredibly likely sparkie was disconnected when you posted that and didn't see the message. He then posts "i need to sleep for work, @ me on dc if nothing happens tonight". In the six or so minutes between that post and him logging out, you say nothing. Hard to say sparkie did anything unsportsmanlike, just a victim of circumstance.

As far as im aware from what was said in the pm that isnt true. All they had agreed to was "the weekend, preferably after 4pm". I havent had a chance to read through the chat logs you posted but i will once i finish work. If there is anything relevant showing a specific time was agreed upon im more than happy to change the decision. But if its just ghost logging in, saying he can play and then disconnecting i just dont see that as setting a time. As for the extension. I didnt give an extension because they didnt deserve one. A week and a day i think week 3 was, is more than enough time to schedule and play a match. coming to me at the 11th hour asking for an extension is poor planning and poor planning on Julian and ghost's part isnt enough justifiction, the precedent this would set wouldnt be great.

What i was more focused on in the pm was seeing what happened. There was a lot of stuff in there that wasnt really relevant and replying to it all would of taken a while. Posting the 10 minute isnt setting a time its letting everyone know your about to play, its a courtesy to spectators. The time you set was the weekend preferably sunday after 4pm. The result of the week is irrelevant in making the decision. Reasonable effort was ghost being available on saturday and late sunday as well as the sub. As in your case reasonable effort was being available sunday. At work and on phone sorry this is brief.

Your Week 3 activity decisions: Pitzzin vs Kiwikidd. As far as I can tell they were meant to play on sunday but Kiwi fell asleep and missed there time. They were unable to reschedule before the deadline. Pitzzin is given the activity win. AxLKGhost vs iJulianFNT. What this really boils down to is that no specific time was set. All that was agreed to was to play on the "weekend, preferably Sunday after 4pm", this isn't even specifically Sunday after 4pm. Ghost was around Saturday but Julian wasn't. Julian was around Sunday but Ghost didn't log in until late Sunday. Ghost and Julian then went to play, Julian posted in the thread, but Ghost immediately disconnected. Julian waited a bit over an hour for Ghost to reconnect, but was busy the next day and had to go to sleep so logged off. Ghost reconnected later Sunday night, available to play, but Julian had already gone. Julian was unable to play on Monday and Sparkie subbed in Kezpal with eight hours until the deadline. Again what it comes back to is no specific time being set. Ghost was around Saturday and only late Sunday while Julian was around Sunday. Ghost logging in saying he could play and then immediately disconnecting isn't setting a time regardless of whether Julian posted in the thread or not. The time that was set was the weekend, preferably Sunday after 4pm. Its the vague nature of this which has created the problem. You could argue that when Ghost did reconnect late Sunday it was still in the Sunday after 4pm time frame preferable to Julian. All in all the match is declared a no contest. Both parties showed reasonable effort to play the match, but the vagueness of the time they set means I can't justify giving one player the win over the other. It's really both players fault for not setting a specific time at the outset.
