  1. How to join/apply to Team Pure: It's not hard, just fulfill the join requirements and contact us in some way. Join Requirements: -300 hours played on PokeMMo -OR- -1 shiny This team is meant for shiny hunters primarily. If you are not a shunter, you will likely find a better team for you elsewhere. How to join There's a few ways you can contact us. -Discord: https://discord.gg/ssbZTcFrS5 -In-game contacts: (Any team staff on the forums or discord) -NOT this forums page. We don't want you to have to publish your application publicly, we can keep it private. We strongly suggest discord of these options (if you're seeing this), as it will be the easiest way for both you and us. When you contact us, please give us 2 things: -A screenshot of your trainer card (for us to see your hours played and IGN) -Screenshot(s) of any shinies you currently have. Feel free to also include a message of shinies you no longer have. Q/A: Q: I don't have a shiny or 300 hours, but am actively shunting and/or close to 300 hours. Can I still join? A: Feel free to apply. Our join requirements are more of a suggestion that a requirement, and we'll fairly evaluate you ourselves. Just be open to contact in some form. Q: Are there any requirements I have to uphold after joining, such as activity requirements? A: If you're offline for a while and perform no contact with us, you may be removed. Otherwise, there's no active requirements once you join, no. There's one small exception. If you regularly join shiny charms, we ask you contribute your own charms occasionally, for the sake of mutual benefit and fairness. We will always prioritize less active members in-game but active members in the team community. Q: Are there any special rules for the team? A: Kind of. We don't require "activity updates", but we do ask that you be somewhat social on the team, not exclusively a lurker. If you're joining a team for an occasional charm, global chat already has that. If you're looking for a place to hang out with people that share a common goal, that's what a team's for.
  2. Karu's "A Colorful Fight to the Finish" Double Event Extravaganza In honor of my Red guide releasing, I'll be hosting 2 events. Both are themed around the Red guide, involving aspects from catch events, pvp, and game knowledge. I hope you're ready... It's time to fight. NOTE: TIME & DATE TBD Event 1: "To Counter the Counter" Current Prize Pool: ¥3.5m In this event, players will engage in a battle against time to put together a team that can fight members of my Red Strategies. You will have 90 minutes to catch, train, and breed up a team. Afterwards, you fight me. If you WIN, you're in the prize pot. If you lose, you're out. After all participants have finished their fight, we enter DOUBLE OR NOTHING. Based on a vote, players can attempt to double their winnings, or lose it all. How? Why, via winners PvP of course! 😃 It's worth knowing ALL winners will take an EQUAL piece of the pot when the game ends. This can change Influence your winnings by as much as over 250k! Additional Notes: 1: You will not learn what Pokémon you are fighting until the end of the preparation phase. Upon your opponents being revealed, you will be given a chance to switch Pokémon in your party, should you have made extras. 2: Only 1 Double or Nothing Phase will happen. 3: Double or Nothing has an... additional twist 😉 4: Breeding using mons caught BEFORE the event , GTL, and trades are banned during preparation phase. I will ask that you link your mons in chat before the fight to ensure everyone is fighting fair, as well as the mons you're combining whenever you're in the breeding process (DMed to any staff is fine) 5: All the mons that can show up are in the guide already. Feel free to use it to get ideas, but know if the Pokémon doesn't have 4 moves already, I have full control over what they are. Begin Planning Accordingly 😉 Event 2: "The Quest to Find Success" Current Prize Pool: ¥3.5m This Event will happen the day after Event 1. This one is simpler. Sinnoh. It's Sinnoh. Go get ;er done! A scavenger hunt! 😄 Shadow, Morgz, Maxi and I will be at various locations in MMo. It's YOUR job to figure out where we are! And of course, when you find us, you won't get the hint for free. You have to battle for it 🙂 You may use any Pokémon. Shadow and Morgz have been told not to hold back. When I say any Pokémon, just know you can choose 5. These will be submitted the same way as the previous, with links. After a certain number of people make it and beat the current checkpoint, the checkpoint is LOCKED and everyone who didn't make it is out of the running. How many people that is will be determined based on participation in the event. ...What, you want a hint now? Fine. Mail Karu 100k (which every 100k will be added to the prize pot) and you can get most of the first hint early 😉 And yes, because this is a Karu event, there will be gimmicks during it >:) GL to all who prepare! P.S. You WILL need a certain regional dex completed to win this event! Perhaps there's a hint to which one somewhere already... 😉 Additional Donations/Donation Incentives: Players who donate 100k out of their own charity will still get the hint. Players who donate 1 Million or more will get... Special perks 😉 (no they don't give themselves an advantage, Im not PTW lol) -Shadow: 500k
  3. Im aware of the Choice Trick / Setup Honch or Cloyster strats. They're not bad at all. I'm moreso trying to offer my own strategy, since I personally find setup sweeping kinda boring and I wouldn't be surprised if they patch Trick strats out since it's kinda cheesy imo.
  4. Update for those who may be watching this, I have a working, tested team. A video is in progress for it. Red shall bow down to us once again.
  5. Small thing: Staraptor 4th move is unknown, BUT an interesting factoid is that in the Showdown calc, there's a Choice Band Staraptor set with the other 3 moves + U-Turn. Considering U-Turn has shown up in the past, I will note this.
  6. I actually knew about the table above already, or at least it's highly likely the same one. Ty all of you for help with the hoenn team again, I'll update the main post here in a few hours once I compile it all. In my main Red guide doc, I'll have Showdown tables for your importing convenience too (I have a Red guide from pre-changes, using those ideas as my base)
  7. Wow this got traction today didn't it? Lol To update those who see this, a LOT more information was found thanks to me crossposting on Reddit. Especially with the Hoenn team @Zergy09 posted (huge thanks for this, Hoenn was the gen I was missing a lot of info on), I should be able to update this to be almost fully complete sometime before the end of the weekend. And of course, Im working on counterplay too lol And Zergy, if you see this, mind confirming your in game name? I was giving my guildmates a bounty for massive updates like what you've been able to provide, so it feels only fair I reward you like them 🙂 Thank you everyone else who also has hopped in to contibute! I wish I could thank you all in a similar fashion but gaddam is it hard to organize all this info lol
  8. Hi all again. They really messed with Red fight strats huh? Lol I once again turn to the forums in hope to find all the new information about Red -- What's been changed, what's the same, what are the new teams, etc. Here's what I know: [UPDATED NOV 23RD '23] -Each team is themed around one of the 5 regions. -Pokemon Species and Item clause has been added. No same items, no same pokemon species (ex: no Jolteon and Vaporeon on the same comp). -Red now "intimidates" all pokemon below lvl 50. Baby strats are dead. -Red follows a similar team structure to gyms, where he has 1 pokemon consistent across all teams (Pikachu). Pika's moveset is different depending on the team you get. -Red will use Every starter from every region. All of them have HA except 5 (Meganium, Sceptile, Blaziken, Swampert, Samurott). -Kanto and Unova teams have random leads, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh teams have consistent leads. (Thank you caav for confirming) With that, here's the teams. I'll update them as I get more information. 9. Idk if this helps, but Ive traded some friends this team so I could get additional testing in when my Red was on cooldown, and they saw equal success. In general, the team is designed so that there's next to no RNG in the fight, especially with the minor edits that have been made since the video, linked in the doc. At the very least, you should be able to pick and choose mons from this team and still result in a lot of success. If you got any other questions for me, feel free to ask them here. I should have eyes on here every so often lol
  10. Pokémmo Red Fight - A Definitive Guide for Efficiency Credit: Davide Mercurio https://www.artstation.com/artwork/VWv8g Hello all! I've spent the last month and a half researching and testing what I want to call the definitive guide to defeating Red. While it may not be the cheapest solution, or the fastest, I believe it has the highest efficiency for its cost, as well as the easiest barrier of entry. It has low risk, multiple ways of recovering from mistakes, and a very fast clear time, allowing you to do gym reruns directly after the fight with more than 53-55 minutes on the clock. This guide also is entirely cheese-less while conforming to Pokémon/item clauses, which should keep it bulletproof even through future updates where they iron out cheese such as Wobbuffets, Shell Bell Aron, etc. This guide includes: -A detailed list of Red's Team's Stats, moves, abilities, items, and switch-in move -A detailed list on the counter-team's required IVs, EVs, moves, and items -An in-depth look at the cost of making the team -Mon exports to allow you to do damage calcs (using the Pokemon Showdown dmg simulator) -A matchup chart to understand how every mon fares against Red's team -Alternative mons that can be used at the cost of either efficiency or money -Alternative mons should you not want to use certain mons on the main team -Additional resources showing different strategies (will be updated with time) -[SOON] A video guide, allowing for a visual depiction on how to use the team. Link: Here! Critiques? Additional Resources? Other comments? Please leave them below or contact me through discord. I'm always looking for ways to improve it! UPDATE: Doc has been updated to version 1.1! -Small switch chart added -VIDEO version of the guide added, also linked below! Problems to fix: -My sleep schedule
  11. I suppose now I should start figuring out what the heck Zard is holding if it aint Specs
  12. Thanks a ton for this info! The rest of the moves allowed me to recalc for them, and luckily none of my calcs drastically changed. The Pikachu data though did result in some recalcs. It's 100% the Let's Go Pikachu stats, as @Elizn also mentioned, since Pikachu's speed stat becomes 372 after calcs. While it does also harm some matchups (namely Vanilluxe and Lapras for me both became guarenteed losses due to the Sp. Atk gain from the Let's Go games), Scarf Chomp was alr my new main strat for him which luckily doesn't change. Thanks again for all the help!
  13. Fair enough, Stacking is a valid strat. Using that same idea, if you use Garchomp, you're guarenteed to get Blastoise Ice Beam. Using Lapras and spamming DDance would work the same way. I imagine though the Devs might nerf this strat with time by having Red switch mons after say 3 turns should he do <15% dmg or something
  14. This is helpful! Blastoise having HP Grass is new information to me. Good luck on the Red fight, hopefully my doc may be of some use to you if you want to peak at it
