I was mainly curious because I remember a post where Kyu said the rules on using multiple accounts were vague on purpose, as well as them being based on if you are negatively impacting the game. Basically, if you were shiny farming on more than 5 accounts, all of your accounts could just get banned. Like, if I farm magikarp for hours on multiple accounts, would that be considered negatively affecting the market? I'd love for a mod to respond, so I at least have some kind of concrete information.

I'm thinking about getting back into the game after taking a little break, and just wanted to know if there was a limit to how many accounts you can use at the same time. I plan to do things like farm ditto boxes or pay day to make my pokeyen, so these are the kind of activities I have in mind when asking this question. Also, I'm talking about completely manually controlling the accounts, not botting or using scripts or anything like that, I know those kinds of things are against ToS.

I know this is kinda an old post, but I just wanted to share my experience with pay daying at dragonspiral as well. Back when I first made my pay day munchlax, I would farm for really long hours at dragonspiral, I'm talking like 8+ hours on the weekend. I started noticing that I was getting more and more bot checks, to the point where I pretty much just stopped pay day farming for a few months because I thought the devs were actively trying to ban me and were just waiting for me to miss one of the captcha tests. Near the end of it, I SS some of the bot checks just in case I did get banned and had to argue my side. The first SS was on Nov 28 at 1:12 PM, second SS was on Nov 29 11:49PM. The last four were on Nov 30, 12:49 AM, 2:46 AM, 5:50 AM, and 7:15 AM. I was basically getting a bot check every 2 hours at the end, even when I wasn't at dragonspiral. I honestly think it's kinda scummy that the game would send so many bot checks to someone that keeps passing them and is playing legitimately, I even started using the poke center instead of leppa berries in the hopes that the game would recognize that my pathing back to dragonspiral wasn't on some kind of repeated script.
