My girlfriend and I live together. On October 15th, my girlfriend and I registered and installed the PC version together. We followed the tutorials to add the Chinese localization XML and ROM files. The PC and Android versions worked normally.
On the evening of October 16th, we continued playing the PC version. We both used the live streaming software OBS and Warudo to stream, along with official XBOX controllers. After shutting down the PC, we continued playing on Android phones until late at night.
On the morning of October 17th, we woke up to find that both of our accounts were banned. The reason given was "third-party prohibited software".
We immediately submitted an appeal, but it was quickly rejected. When asking the community, others speculated the ban reason might be due to the controllers. We had no choice but to accept that controller was the reason.
We sincerely love this game and the joy it brings us.
On October 19th, we registered new accounts again. Worried about being wrongly banned again, we only used Android phones the whole time until October 22nd without any issues.
On October 22nd, wanting to play on PC again, I re-downloaded and installed the official PC client on my computer to eliminate any suspicious items. My girlfriend even got a brand new computer to install the PC version. This time we did not use controllers or any streaming software. However, the next morning on October 23rd, we were banned again for the same reason of "third-party prohibited software".
We absolutely did not use any scripts or third-party prohibited software the entire time.
Now we only hope to play normally without erroneous bans. We really do not know how to avoid this. Please help check the records to find out exactly what triggered the ban.
If needed, we are also willing to provide data to assist in troubleshooting. We sincerely want to play PokeMMO without fear of false bans and hope this experience can help identify a potential cause of incorrect bans for other players too.
I'v appeal a ban by raising a ticket (Appeals #291908) at support portal and my appeal was rejected almost immediately.
I have the patience to wait for the results of the investigation instead of immediately getting a templated auto-response.
I even don’t mind playing the same storyline content for the third time, but what I’m afraid of is that I wake up every morning and worry about being banned for reasons I don’t know. What is the third-party prohibited software exactly?
I went to discord server ask for help, they told me maybe the anti cheat got a fake detection
And they kindly asked me some questions:
- if I had it installed. - no.
- my firewall - Windows defender
- Monitoring apps, game optimization apps, macro programs? - no such apps.

Please don't give me a robotic reply because I have tried all appeal method and this thread is the final solution.
