Legendary Beasts appearence

Hello everyone, I read from one of these forums that legendary beasts show up once you get 8 badges in Johto and beat oh-oh. Now, i think i did both of those things, but in my istance info says that I didn't beat oh-oh. In order to find legendary beasts do I need to do oh-oh raid once again (outside of the storyline) or I'm able to find them right now too? Thanks and see you in the game :)
