@Moetal I've enlarged it from 256x64 to 512x128 with a program of mine, so that could be the cause. *shrugs* Ah well, here's the original size: The base for this was the Cubchoo sprite which can be found in McMagister's sprite pack.

Got bored of looking at pipsqueak Swinup and tried my luck with yet another amateurish edit. -> The outcome is good enough as a placeholder for personal use, I suppose. Still in the middle on getting the hang of drawing sprites from scratch with a graphic tablet.

I honestly doubt that anything besides purely cosmetic patches would be compatible with PokeMMO. Much less custom rom hacks that touches the game's pokedex, wild pokemon encounters, or especially modify the game's story line entirely.

@Moetal FireRed A Reboot is both complete, has side quests and also adds the Fairy type. All things which are quite nice to have. If you're interested, I even have a private patch where I imported all moemon sprites and party icons.Though there seems to be a problem with six pokemon of the newer generations that my program for inserting sprites can't handle. :/ I'm all for the Title screen by the way. But as the patch mentioned above only has a male trainer, magikarp-tan would be better left out.

@McMagister Yup, saw that one as well today. But, well... neither its design nor drawing style was what I was looking for in an Parasect gijinka. So in the end I did my own little edit. Seems I just can't warm up to towards porthole glasses with thick frames. But to each their own, I guess.

So I finally couldn't stand the sight of that damned meganekko midget Parasect any longer and began to work on an replacement for my own use. This is what I came up with; A reincarnated, intoxicated and very, very ill-tempered Parasect. Intended for decorative battle purposes, not for consumption.

I just *love* that Cloyster draft's hair! :) Not sure whenever you want to take the dress to a barock style or goth lolita direction, but it's up to a good start. Some studs here and there could even give her a Melodic Death Metal fibe! And I'm sure she will receive shoes at some point as well. But, I can't help to feel that a Cheshire Cat smile (akin to Gengar-maido's) would give her a more authentic personality. The original pokemon sprite being what it is, I mean.

I have to agree with Rache. The Chinese dragon dress really suits Gyarados' character. Not to mention she has adorable ear fins which I'm really fond of. Also, I imagine either Hitmonchan or Hitmonlee would make more fitting choices for powerhouse lolis than this 6.5 meter long water dragon.

From the Luvdisc designs I saw so far, I'd tend to go either with Mermaidisc below, [spoiler] [/spoiler] or Piratedisc. [spoiler] (The design itself looks... "interesting" to say the least. But some further cloth (especially around the whole torso) should further bring out the charm of it rather nicely. Just food for thoughts.) [/spoiler] In any case, I personally would recommend to stick with a Luvdisc design that has something to do with the sea. The frilly idol gijinka's I saw were... honestly less than fitting for this pokemon.

Regarding the Onix vote: My vote goes to the lovely taciturn kuudere Onix. The dandere archtype on the other hand may perhaps be better saved for Porygon.

Personally, I believe we should stick with McMagister's Onix here since postponing things into infinity doesn't do anything. From my point of view her facial expression fits the pokemon in question better than the current one: silent, stoic and possible tactrum(?) as well. All good points of the kuudere moe type as far I am concerned. Her attire with no breast pouch makes her feel like she's a casual city person on the streets. Which is why I prefer the second one, due to the outdoor fibe I get from it. Indeed, I'd *love* to have an hiking girl family line in the patch! An backpack of sorts and larger hiking boots would be nice finishing touches in that regard as well. ;)

Never was much of a fan of winks, so 4 for me as well. Although I feel she would be even better as a Kuudere without the blushing.

Re: Dodrio ... Truthfully, I actually really liked that aloof Kuudere expression of the left Dodrio. So it's kind of sad to see her transform into what looks like a Genki Girl to me. Kuudere deserve moar love! :(

I kind of like that Cloyster's clothes, but her facial expression just rubs me the wrong way for some reason. Personally, I believe Cloyster to be most fitting as a menacing hikikomori, yandere, S, or possible all three things at once. Like below: [spoiler] [/spoiler] Or maybe this one, for a more human-like appearance: [spoiler] [/spoiler] And let's not forget about Lady Knight Shellder as well. [spoiler] [/spoiler] As for the Abra family line, these one strike me as rather fitting. [spoiler] [/spoiler] [spoiler] [/spoiler] [spoiler] [/spoiler] Well, maybe not the geezer one. But perhaps his design may still prove useful in some way when gender bendering.

Ehh... Honestly, I'd say nay on both accounts. Not only wouldn't it make sense to suddenly switch from an hot Onee-san to some gloomy Ikemen host. The design shown above also looks rather inferior to what we currently have in the patch, considering that he'll most likely has to crouch. But if you have already decided to give Blastoise some sort of overhaul anyway, then I'll vote for a rough female replacement with sarashi. What I have in mind would probably be best described akin to a wild mix of Blastoise-hime: [spoiler] [/spoiler] And Musashi below (minus the ship hull parts): [spoiler] [/spoiler]

I believe that if you reduce her hair volume by a pixel or two, the parasol could fit in a similar pose to Golduck's umbrella. Or at least just parts of its oversized petals. The lower body of the older Venusaur sprite is the main problem. Compared to the arms and waist, both the tights and calves are too thick. Perhaps by upping her right shoulder (our left) by some pixel and enlarging the torso somewhat, her posture could become more balanced. Then again judging from the reference picture of Venusaur-hime, I get the feeling that our Maido Snorlax may provide a better base for the lower body and dress. Hmm...

McMagister's Pichu, Pikachu and Raichu revamps are not in. Rache's Hoothoot and Kabutops come to mind as well. Also, this Wingull here may be more appealing than the current "flying diapers" in the patch;

I do not know what program Moetal uses for swapping sprites, but I can recommend the Pokémon Gen III Rom Hacking Suite Having the possibility of changing Pokedex description entries, spawning points, battle sprite positions, abilities and attacks makes this tool really useful for creating your own modified patch.

[spoiler] [/spoiler] While the likelyhood that people already saw this is high, I just wanted to point out that having the Kabuto family look like these gijinka would be great. Truly, these fossils could *really* need some moefication.

Have you planned to replace the pokemon menu icons as well at some point? After all, the moemon icons for 001 through 439 were already created. Which would make it a shame of not using them for this patch. Though I imagine some resizing would be required for them to be used in Platinum/HeartGold. Really reminds me as to why I hate getting up on 1st. April... Anyway I found a little treasure trophy. First, I happen to find a modified version of that Weavile I posted earlier: Which is quite nice in itself. But then I found THIS masterpiece here shortly afterwards: The more powerful battle stance and larger back sprite makes this one my favourite Sneasel by far! :D And here's some Aipom replacer I came across as well. Her face could be a tad more wild and childish though. Like that Nowa tomboy from Queens Blade for example.

I, too, can confirm that the new 1.5 link sadly doesn't work on my end. Whenever I copy+past the link or click directly on it, the result remains the same. In any case, it's awesome to see that a new update is just around the corner! :3

A baguette, most likely. Or did you perchance mean her tail? Perhaps. Though I still like it more than that other nighmarish abomination. :P That combination could do wonders though. Especially mixed with plate armour parts, similarly to the geodude family. Was it that obvious? ;)

These are some of the moemon sprites I personally use for my game. Figured I might as well share them here. :P A handful of them are recolourations of newer pokemons. But other than minor differences I feel they fit in quite well. 020. (While Raticate Maid is "prettier", this one feels more true for the pokemon's character.) 053. (If it weren't for the star and tail tattoos, this would be a perfect replacement.But it's still a better sprite as is than the current one.) 071. (MOE~!) 095. (A more natural and cuter looking Onix is always welcome in my book.) 108. (Eh, ahoge are cuter anyway.) 110. (Lacks a bit of gas here and there. Then again, anything's better than the current Weezer.) 121. (The current one is way too thin, small and overall of lesser quality for my taste. And I love this one's face.) 123. (Simular to the current one, but with improved detail and larger body.) 138. (A worthy replacement.Though the lack of tentacles still hurt a bit.) 139. (Again, very fitting. All that's left is adding a spike or two on her helmet and removing the cross.) 167. (I feel that this recolouration of Ariados dubs very nicely as Spinarak. I'm especially fond of the poisonous look in her eyes.) 204. (Again, anything's better than the current one. And this moemon fits the job nicely with her bandages.) 215. (Vastly better looking Sneasel. Nice size too. Also, choco fits her the best!) On a side note, when will McMagister's Pikachu family be included into the patch? From what I saw it was already completed for quite some time.
