Basically you pick a side (in this case Roller Coasters or Water Slides) and on July 17th your side fights against the other in a series of battles the whole day and the winner gets cool stuff.

New Splatfest coming! Roller Coasters vs Water Slides on July 17th. Not gonna miss it this time.

They rotate the two modes, I believe it's every six hours

There's also Splat Zones Ploe, basically it's tower control but the spot doesn't move at all
