You don't really know how many shinies are being generated per month by this rate right now, what the impact on the economy is right now etc. And you don't know the impact it would have on the economy if the shiny rate changed from 1/30 to 1/15 it would at least double the rate of shinies and double how fast they degrade in value. and I doubt u are thinking of the health of the game overall. You're just making an assumption that 1/30k is an insane rate and that nobody will find shinies with it or something. The devs are treating this game like it's another mmo where economy matters. It doesn't matter, look at pokemon showdown: Everyone has access to every single pokemon with every single possible stat/move/item etc. Why isn't everyone a top tier player? It's because half of the game is your party, the other half is knowledge and battle skill. It doesn't matter that everyone can make x6 pokemon perfect comps. It doesn't matter that the economy is a shithole and there is a power barrier between big pharma and little trainers. What matters is that access to the competitive scene is easier then it is harder. The important thing is accessability for newer players to get 6 great pokemon so they can start battling. This new breeding system is fucking that. Who gives a shit if there is 20000 perfect ivd perfect godly shiny tyranitars floating around. You can only take ONE into battle. The barrier for entry is fucking higher then it has ever been with this new update. the devs are trying to take charge and make pokemon no longer pokemon. What the fuck is the day care consuming pokemon for? What is happening there? Fucking peices of shit, learn how to respect a game's spirit that you stole. this isn't dragon quest taras adventure keep the pokemon vibe please. Stay true. Don't think this is your game.

The grind shouldn't be changed, it should remain faithful to the game it's emulating. As soon as they start cutting corners or dumbing things down so the barrier to entry is lower the game starts to sour. Imo.

I want to give pikachu a backwards hat and maybe some glasses, is there any way to do this? I've been searching all over the net, I really feel strongly that there is a way to make this happen. Does anyone have tips or clues?
