On more update on banned moves, Wrap and Bind have also been added for the same reason as Whirlpool, Sand Tomb, and Fire Spin.

Wait...Whirlpool...? We have Whirlpool available?
Also if time is such an issue why not ban Calm Mind and other Set ups, along with Tanks? Make it a Sweeper Tourney
I really hate banning competitive moves like that. That's like banning units in an RTS, it's not like there isn't a counter to them. Whirlpool/Fire Spin/Sand Tomb were also banned because we identified a bug with them which could cause an unfair advantage. -

Why 3v3 is like the perfect length...There's is "virtually" no stalling, but the matches are nice length, and there's just enough to see a variety. Also then you don't just have the same teams as everyone else.
...The most common team I have seen in teams for 3v3 tournaments is Snorlax, Marowak, and Starmie.
And the amount of stalling in 3v3 is painful, some people run 3 walls.
4v4 allows for more wiggle room so people can bring a more risky pokemon, rather than conforming to the 3v3 standard which has been plaguing every 3v3 tournament. -

This will be funny.
InB4 people start demanding 128 person tournaments because they weren't part of the first 64.
I want to run one of those in the future.

That Poster is biased towards Lapras. Look at that poor Primeape, he can't do anything from that far away! He has no choice but to be pelted by water while all the Lapras supporters laugh at his misfortune. Poor guy.
That Primeape is preparing it's focus punch, Lapras is just splashing to try and stop him. -
The stream will also be showing both matches at once.

So you don't want to miss it, just in case you want all your Friday Night 50's action.

Going to have to cancel the rerun, blizzard is really slapping my shit and I lost power already, don't have a stable enough connection to stream and my power could go out at any time.
If you want to watch it, there is an archive of the stream (it's been posted in this thread)
Well I'm probably gonna miss the rerun. You can go ahead and spoil it, what's my role?
Just go watch the archive. -
I was having lag issues during the stream regardless of how many times I refreshed it.
I did bump up the quality of my stream considerably just for this event (I went from streaming at ~115 kbps to ~3000 kbps) so that might have something to do with it, since for a normal stream like mine there is no quality setting, thus you are stuck at the quality I present it to, which was 720p in this case. This is also why for large scale tournaments where a lot of people are watching, I bump the quality down a lot so everyone can load it fine with none/minimal lag.
I apologize for that, I just wanted to have the best archive possible of the video since it was waaaaaaaaaaay over youtube's 15 minute video limit.
Actually, this Friday I'm going to try something a little different. I'm going to bump up my stream resolution to 1080p and my bitrate to 5000 kbps. -

I'll rerun it on Friday if people want it, so you can communicate with the chat and what not. But there will be a recording on my twitch of the event, always.

Congratulations, you receive the first like that I have ever given out. -
I didn't expect you to call my quality test a trailer, it was just to test the new audio and video quality I have on my stream, to have the best and smoothest presentation.

Problem with 64 people is that the last time they tried it, half of them didn't bother to show up. And there wasn't enough Reserves to cover the missing half. So they had to drop it to 32.
I attribute that to the fact it was a Wednesday night tournament. When I hosted the 64 man Friday Night Fifties, I only needed 8 reserves total, and we ran pretty smoothly.

I don't think it's worth doing something like that because there will be many people who would not follow the rule. This is a 64 competitor competition after all :/
That's why you enforce the rules.
And we had a 64 man tournament in this location before with minimal issue.
