By the way I tried logging in with a different character and this improved things a lot, I can now move up and down the attack list although I still can't assign the menu or bag to any button. Just telling you in case someone else ever asks about similar problems so you can advise them to try this.

I talked to everyone on the boat and nothing was happening, so I left and it went. I've been everywhere and don't get what to do.

Yeah I was actually wrong, because I can't click on anything, I thought I could which is why I said that, but if you select quick attack and press a it just uses the first attack. Still trying to sort it out, for some reason I can't get the analogue sticks to come up with this programme even though all the other buttons register. There is the option to map the mouse with one analogue stick which is what I did, but you can just move the cursor around and I can't see how to make you be able to click on things. It's basically really hard and annoying not easy.

I looked at the programme again today, and although the problem I mentioned persists, I can use the right analogue stick as the mouse, so this does improve things a lot. So thanks for your reply.

Yeah thanks for the suggestion, I know you gave the best advice you could but this is what I was thinking when I was thinking it wouldn't be as easy as you suggested -pretty sure I completed the quite long set-up for this software the right way, but it didn't make a difference.

So I downloaded some software on http://pinnaclegameprofiler.com/and it made no difference.

This is not easy for me it's complicated, and I don't know how it would make a difference when the controller works already.

Just to clarify I can walk around in every direction when not in a fight without problem.

And when I chose fight I can only select the top two moves. I want to play this on my tv with a controller but this problem makes this too much hassle. Anyone know what's up?

Yeah but there are no instructions, it just says change password, forgot password and forgot username, or create an account, there is no option to log into an existing account. When I got the email confirming my account name there is no option to log in either.

I typed my email address into "forgot username" and it said I had a username, but on the main website it only says create an account, I don't know how to log in and download it. Also what version of pokemon do you need?
