I actually like Septen's edit to Mightyena, so I did a little science with CW's edit:

If I ever catch a Goldeen, I'm naming it Sassybutt. Fixed color palettes: Science: @TehCreep AFAIK, the 2 that you found are all that were made. @W1ldC4RD My tutorial is based on an unmodified FireRed ROM. Some addresses that you write to may be different if you're using a modified ROM (Moemon patch for example). If it's just the intro sprite, it is possible the color palette doesn't match up perfectly with the original image, although I'm not sure why it would be different. But if that's the case, the way to fix it would be to change the palette of the intro image (Magikarp-tan) to match what's originally in your ROM. Edit: I just tried inserting the Magikarp-tan intro sprite into a Moemon 2.0 patched ROM and saw no problems.

@laGashetaHardcore Only one I have of the starters that's any good: That Combusken is kinda small compared to the other 2 since I think it was originally going to be for Torchic. It could be recolored to be our Torchic and have a new sprite be for Combusken.

What's this? Clearly, my entry defined the furry most. Oh wait, it's fury not furry? My bad. Lots of salt in this thread, and I can understand where it's coming from, but as Rache said, the thing about having multiple judges in a contest like this means a lot of different opinions about the art. Different styles may get more favor from different judges. It's nice to know that mine would be Rache's personal list honorable mention, but she's not the only judge. That's just how it goes, I guess. It has been said before, but just to reiterate; it would be a good idea to clearly define the judging criteria in future contests.

@ZiggyZag I think the design of Breloom currently in the patch is good. Why not just update that sprite instead? Any last minute edits to Furret's back sprite?

@Moetal Synced palettes with the skin colors and the brown colors, and black and white. Not sure what else to do.

Made some very minor adjustments and matched back sprite: @CrookedWings427 Yeah, stick with one leaf. Maybe make her dress and shorts a little bit frilly? The artwork had her wearing something similar to shorts, and didn't appear "sporty" to me. Also, this is just personal preference, but I liked her hair before with the front bangs not going down over her eye, like on her left eye (our right). @ZiggyZag Your other DeviantArt image links are broken. @Nerak55 The mouth was kinda bothering me, so I tried to fix it. Not sure if it's better. The face and hair could probably be improved yet, but I don't know. The underside of the maw in the back sprite looks like it's flat, when it shouldn't be. Maybe some shading would fix it? Other than that, looking good. Edit: Now I'm just trying to break things... or make it better. I'm not sure which. @Moetal That Medicham back sprite with the bandana reminds me, there isn't a back sprite for the new Koffing yet.

@Maelstrom Koffing and Weezing have been worked on: And they still need to be finished. @CrookedWings427 I have to agree with Swirly about your Kingdra. I think you should keep going with the original dress. That Chikorita looks pretty good so far, and you can keep going with that if you want, but...

@Moetal Pretty sure we can get away with using the middle red tone for blush since shiny is just more pink. Alternatively, we could just use the darker skin tone if you don't like this. Guess who just updated his Wailmer and Wailord? I love the fin hair on Wailord's back sprite. Edit: Tried shrinking Wartortle's head.

@toottoot I guess? I think Typhlosion is a fierce-looking Pokemon, so some changes would have to be made to reflect that. Should I assume the scarf is flaming? As far as your Latias draft goes, I like where it's going. I'd like to see the wings more, Latios and Latias are kinda like jet Pokemon, so I think the wings should be more prominent.

@toottoot Just posting your draft after cleaning it up. @Moetal We can try the speck of red in Umbreon's eyes. That sounds good. Half of Eevee's edits was from me, and you know I'm not confident either. I think the other 3 look better than before. I dunno, your call. What's your opinion on the Azurill and Marill sprites? I tried redoing the color palettes on both of them while still keeping most of the colors from Magi's Azumarill: Went with "official" shiny colors, but I'm ok with the alternates from the old sprites. I liked Hardcore's Flaaffy edit from senpai's Ampharos, so I tried editing the backsprite to match: Btw, who is Galophy? That Missingno is really... something.

@laGashetaHardcore Ok with the face edit, not so sure on the skirt (the belt looks weird to me), and could go either way with the legs. I'm ok with trying to have a more interesting design, just not sure what's best. I removed the dithering since we don't do that with our sprites. @CrookedWings427 I think Umbreon looks good, but Magi said he thought her head needed to be bigger; I don't know if the latest edits changed that or not. Btw, are we going with black or red eyes on her?

@laGashetaHardcore That looks cute and all, but a new Smeargle was just added in version 2.0. @ZiggyZag I really like that design for Chikorita, however, I think we could make the ribbon red or yellow, just to be different and not have too much green in one area. Also, there's already a Cyndaquil sprite that's mostly done, although mostly forgotten about. @Septentrion Moetal already said our current Wailord is good. Maybe try working on something else. @Moetal Your updated Eevee line: Will hold off on Umbreon and Espeon until later.

@Septentrion Sufficient is by definition enough. :P
