I guess the guy with 2k listings on the GTL would have lost millions of pokeyens only with this dumb change. Also NPC payout nerfs... I haven't got yet to the point of quitting this game but certainly I have been playing less these last 3 days, I don't even feel like cheering up and play the Unova story.
So much hype last few weeks just to see this update has been a total fail... Hopefully they'll reverse all these nonsense stuff...
I bought a lucky egg the day before the update thinking "I better get it now before the update makes them super desired"
jokes on me, may as well have thrown that 800k into the trash

My suggestion would be what someone said earlier in the thread, go to the new region, get to where you've got some Pokémon at or just below level 60, then come back to hoenn to beat up the elite 4 with those.
I know being forced to do that kinda sucks, but just keep in mind it was just very unfortunate timing for you and other people in the middle of the story when the update hit. Redoing the mechanics again just to fix an issue only these certain people will ever have doesn't really make sense. Once the people it currently affects can get through it the problem won't exist for people again in the future.

The problem we have with splitting the tiers up even more is that the lower tiers like UU and NU are already spread thin with active players. Sometimes even automated tournament brackets don't fill for those tiers, and the ranked matchmaking for them has become non existent, so the thought of dividing the low tier player base even more is scary.
We'll see what happens though, who knows maybe the update will attract more comp players and this won't be the case, but for now this is how it is.

That's actually not it. It's more the fact that if it's OP in PvP, it will be OP in PvE as well in some circumstances. By some circumstances I mean trainer tower scenarios but not say Halloween boss scenarios. But point is for the sake of not limiting the kinds of pve they can add, they don't want some things to be op.

basically one of the ways we saw it was it's better to keep things/implement things with the weaker versions now and then buff them later if we so see fit. People would be a lot more okay with a buff in the future than a nerf. So after we see how the metas look and you still think outrage could use a higher base power, that would be a good time to talk about it.

It's simple. He wants new commons. I dunno why this is so hard for people to grasp, what raederz is saying makes some sense.
He just doesn't want a 3rd region infested with golbats. He's not asking that rare unova pokemon be common in unova, he wants common unova pokemon to be common in unova. I don't know why he's asking for that though, when that should probably end up being the case. In vanilla black/white don't you ONLY encounter unova pokemon throughout the main storyline or something?

Shiny hunting for unova species would be shit anyway. Why would you want a shiny that doesn't have a follower sprite?
