  1. Alright nerds I know we've discussed this in the discord a little and I think with the introduction of clubs this is a good way to set an example of how to use these things. So let's try to set up an actual time to get this going.

We need to figure out a time we're all most available, and we need to make some decisions as to what movies were going to marathon.

Im assuming we just plan to use rabbit to watch this but if anyone has a better idea as to how to make it happen feel free to suggest things.

Also since the club is public and I decided to let anyone see our posts /make posts i think I'll just say anything we put out as events on here are open to who ever, just know I'm not gonna give a lot of a shit about if someone outside of the team can make it when deciding a date.

Well if we have 3x players online because of halloween event then more people will be online to buy RP!!  If they want to pull in more donations they can add Kyu hat to the shop then or something like that, desus lab coat.  Since both these items can be spawned in the game anyway....

Also a terrible idea. They're obtainable in game currently at a pretty much negligible rate. Adding old "limited" items back to the gift shop would make a big hit on all limited vanities that come in the future. No one would be able to trust the value of future limited vanities, ruining their value, which in turn will ruin sales from the gift shop.

lmao bro consumable items are consumable, and a 1/1000 chance wouldn't affect thingsfor very long, maybe like a month at most.  I know you didnt rad the whole thread but i already touched on this.  Just cause ppl get stuff for free one in a year doesnt mean they wont buy it kek.  If anything it puts a good taste in their mouths about RP items and the effects (ie more boxes, higher shiny rate etc).  This will show them how cool these items are, and then they may buy a couple more boxes.

Srsly tho a 3 day event with heavily consumable RP items wouldn't do shit in the long run.

"In the long run" isn't the point. I think it's safe to assume that times like the Halloween event are when they make a shitload of their money. It's when the highest number of players are online, that's the time you want people buying RP, not the time that you give out the items for free.

  4. Also in response to the initial suggestion, giving away gift shop items like that in large amounts would do the same to RP that it would do to goodie bags. Giving away reasons to buy rp, means less reason to buy rp. imagine if donator status just got handed out as often as a scythe last year. No one would need to pay real money for one for a pretty good amount of time, meaning less profit for devs. Do you really think they'd ever consider that a good idea?

  5. Not reading most of the thread before this point so forgive me if someone has said this already.

Repeating vanities will destroy their value. This much is obvious. Most of their value at all comes from the thought that they might never come back. All those pretty graphs that show the way their prices would trend don't take that into consideration. The first time they ever get repeated they would drop to an all time low, not just to the value they sank to in the previous event. Losing the possibility of the item holding any form of rarity makes them pretty much pointless to buy past having one because you like the look of it. Now all of that should be the obvious part. The thing that makes it also bad is that dropping those vanity prices drops the desire of goodie bags altogether. The best part of the event is being able to farm goodie bags then sell them for like 200k each to suckers like me who are addicted to gambling and want to get the rare vanities. I can tell you right now if those same vanities come back I'm not buying goodie bags this year because I already have the good shit from them, where I spent like 14m on them last year. I probably wouldn't buy new goodie bags in the future either knowing the items won't be worth having unless they look good enough to wear regularly. Point being, vanities drop in value drastically, goodie bags drop with them, why even bother with the event if the goodie bags don't sell and the items aren't worth the time? Sure some new players can try their luck grinding for a scythe that they missed out on, but for anyone who was here last year it isn't even worth logging in for. why would they take time out of their day to have an event like that when they're working on something that actually matters to every current and previous player being the new region?

How is it not in definition "strength-based tiering" though? Your TC team is essentially creating an artificial PokeMMO tierlist dictated by presumed usage. That usage is determined by what? If assumed "strength" of a Pokemon is not taken as a factor in this formula, then on what grounds are you folks basing your creativity? Usage stats from BW should not be used when we are going to lack key components of that meta, such as Dream World Abilities (Hidden Abilities) and many pokemon which simply won't be implemented. In addition, we still have upper gen mechanics, learned moves, and stats which further alter the foundation of BW.

In all reality, we should simply wipe the tiers and start from scratch, letting OU form organically and systematically creating the lower tiers.

In other terms "trust the process". It's worked in the past and because of it we have a very unique competitive scene that is attractive to players.

We are going back to usage as soon as we can. This is only so a UU and NU tier can still exist sorta. It's not like the OU tier isn't going to develop the way it should, because we're not doing anything that changes how OU will be played. UU and NU will still develop organically based on how OU actually turns out, these tiers are just existing as placeholders.

My whole point is we aren't adopting this as the new way to do tiering. It's just temporary. We aren't changing the way we will have tiers, we're just doing this to still have SOME kind of UU or NU after the update.

Second, they're reintroducing strength based tiering with a counsel that's majority doesn't really understand BW

Not really. We just made temporary tier lists for the time being. Also we've redone them pretty much entirely with some usage predictions in mind. We aren't by any means making some kind of shift over to strength based tiering.

unless some craziness happens or PokeMMO continues for another 2 decades, a Halloween scythe is never going to come close to those. So why bother?

I think you answered your own long-winded question with just this statement. That is pretty much the dream, for this game to last decades and take off like that.

  10. You won't be able to just change them to HA's once the update hits, no. Also there's gonna be no HA's this update I believe.

I think last we'd heard the plan was for HA's to come from pokemon you catch in the legendary dungeons that will exist some day and then breed those up to have HA pokemon.
