Yes, you do. Just keep performing Sketch until the Smeargle wakes up, if a wild Smeargle sketched spore. If your Smeargle has greater speed then it'll sketch the failed spore from the last move when it wakes up. (Hope that made sense, the process is hard to put more simply)
