1. Kearsten wasn't an attention whore imo. She did get attention, but outside of being a CM in-game, she hung out on TeamSpeak with the rest of us.
>Kearsten 1.0 implies she is Kearsten
LET THIS THREAD DIE
 2. Welcome. If the above didn't help, remember that the forums and PokeMMO are not linked accounts, and you need to make an in-game account here.
 3. Yea, it's been a few years since I played Mario Kart Wii. I really liked how precise and technical inward drifting made the game... When you get into the 9000+ lobbies, it's literally everybody taking the exact same route with Flame Runner Funky Kong/Mach Bike Daisy and praying your lead doesn't get roflstomped by a Blue Shell (The mushroom dodge is actually not that hard, but good luck keeping a lead with no bananas or shells to hold behind you). ... Of course there's the online hacker part of the game, which is very exhilarating to play against, but often ends up being a waste of time. I did occasionally run hacks, but the only ones I always had running were quick DC (For lobbies where someone would run the time control mod), the VR hack (I had 1, 9999, 20102, and 35000 to choose from), and the time control mod.
Too big of an explanation to tell what time control does in a single parenthesis, so here: In Mario Kart, when you cross the finish line on your final lap, your timer is stopped and noted by the game. The way the game is programmed to calculate your placement in the race is to take the time that everybody crossed the finish line, and organizing them from least time to most time (The least time being 1st and the most time being 12th). I should also point out that if the race automatically ends (Which can only happen 30 seconds after 1st place crosses the finish line, or after the set 5 minute time limit in online play), every player who hasn't finished will have the exact same time, so they just take their current rank position and place them there on the results screen. Because the times are recorded client-sided to reduce server capacity and sent to the server without anti-cheating checks, having the ability to freeze the timer at the start of the race, speeding it up, slowing it down, and auto-setting it to 4:59:99, the time control mod is by far the most unfair mod you can use against legit players because there's literally nothing that can be done to stop you from getting your desired placement. This can also be combined with the VR mod to manipulate how many points people lose or gain. For example, pausing the timer to make yourself win with 1 VR makes the game believe that all these 9000+ players lost to someone with a pitiful rank, and it deducts a metric shit-ton of points from them (I've seen a 9999 in last place lost over 401 points. That literally 2-3 hours of constant winning taken away with nothing they can do). On the flip side, you can set the timer so you have a guaranteed loss and set your VR to far above the 9999 cap to trick the game into believing a player with a very high VR lost to less skillful people with less VR, and gives these players who would normally receive 15 VR from a 1st place win along the lines of 70-200 points depending on how many points the other losing players had.
13. I think it would be most important for the gameplay and overall design to focus more on playing Pokémon than playing an MMO unlike this one. It would also be nice to explore more than one region. I've always wondered how Orre would be interpreted in a 2D Pokémon game with routes
