Hello all, Hoping for some assistance here. Attempting to make a battle-ready Miltank. I've breeded one with all the right IVs and am now trying to change her ability to "scrappy." I bought an ability pill for 35k, but when I try to use it, it says it will not have any effect. Do I need to give it to my Miltank to hold and breed again to change her ability?

What's the best way to go about some Pokemon needing to be traded to evolve? I've trained 3, but would like to evolve them and not be scammed out of something. Thanks for the help!
