  5. first you will need advancemap and XSE ( extreme script editor). You will have to google them for the download link. [spoiler]Next you want to open up advance map and load up the rom you are using (you may want to create a backup just in case you screw up). also click settings on the top toolbar and click choose script editor, from there just find wherever you saved XSE. Now you want to open up nurse joys script (doesn't matter which nurse joy as they share the same script anyways). [img]http://i.imgur.com/LH6ZWlZ.png[/img] After opening up pokemon center map like I have done here, click the above tab that says events. This will make nurse joy visible. Now just click nurse joy and click the button on the right side of the screen that says "open script" At the bottom of the script you will find the "strings" section. feel free to crop this text however you like. NOTE: I don't think it's possible to just delete a string altogether (I don't know how at least), so instead of trying to delete the entire string just replace all of the text with a "." [size=4]/n means a new line in the text box, /p or /1 means new textbox.[/size] [size=4]After cropping altering the text just press the little compile button, press close on the next window that pops up and then just exit the script and save when it prompts you to do so.[/size] [img]http://i.imgur.com/gZjOCme.png[/img] [size=4]The compile button is that little blue button to the right of the ROM file location[/spoiler][/size][size=4]Simple [/size]

  8. I edited my rom so that nurse joy just heals my pokemon and then tells me to get out.

  15. Awesome thanks, I didn't think it would force me to change all of it. Especially since some of nurse joys text strings dont even show fully in the upper section and are just replaced by ... Anyways I'll give it a try tomorrow and PM you if I run into any problems however I think I'll be alright.

You will now see everything as scripts.There is a W --> (with the arrow bent and under the W) button. When you mouseover, it says "show sprites". DO NOT SHOW SPRITES. You want to see ALL the scripts, not just the NPCs. Find safari zone entrance, you'll see a purple W similar to the button, but on the map. Double left-click it. You are now inside the payment/waiting room/exit between the safari zone and the town. Right-click one of the "S" green tiles next to the P, which is the NPC. Go to Settings, Choose Script Editor. Go within your own advancemap folder, and select pksvui.exe which you should have in there if you followed my instructions to the letter. It asks you this bullshit question about offsets that I won't get into. Tell it NO. Now, double-click the script tiles. DO NOT COPYPASTE, SOME MEMORY POINTERS MIGHT BE DIFFERENT, DO NOT FUCK UP YOUR ROM, I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU CRASH IT. You can crop a lot of text out, as long as you keep all memory pointers pointing to something. Once you're done editing the text, go to "ROM", and "compile". You'll see this little "compiler log" thingy pop up. Just close that out. Now, close out the dialogue editor. Don't save any changes, telling it compile already did, it's just some fucked up coding that the programmer didn't specifically say CHANGES APPLIED or something. Now, close out AdvanceMap. Go into your POKEMMO ROMS folder. You will see an extra ROM that does not belong there. AdvanceMap backs up your ROM just in case you screw up. Move that out of the folder before starting the client, or it'll load that instead of your edited one. (keep it for now, in case you screwed something up) Start up PokeMMO. Go to the safari zone. Enjoy new dialogue. Shit brix at it actually working. Have fun playing. And there you go, as complete a guide as I can make. If you want to disable it backing up your ROM in case you screw up (I don't know why you'd do that, ever), you can go to Settings, and uncheck "Create Backup upon opening". [/spoiler] And that is that. [/quote] Ah, what I did was edit the org strings at the very bottom of the script but that didn't change anything above. Does compiling it replace the old text with the edited text? or do I manually change all the text in the script? Just wanna know so I can mess around with the pokemon centers.
