  1. Though that was more of a incentive of generosity, NOT a purchase. You didn't buy that chocolate bar with the money you donated, you donated for the kids and you got a small incentive. The same case does not apply here, as you HAVE to purchase reward points with real money. Again, if Reward Points purchases classify as "donations", then by that logic, the purchase of Gems in Clash of Clans, PokeCoin in Pokemon Go, etc. also count as "donations" Yes, I know what I'm getting the reward points I'm paying for when I pay for them. That's not the point I'm trying to make The false advertising part is calling them "donations" when they're reallly just in-MMO purchases.
  2. PvP, there’s nothing else post-game to do
  3. I’m not being a hater, I’m just pointing out that calling the purchase of Reward Points with real money “donations” is just false advertising.
  4. Simply put, the term “donations” in terms of getting reward points with real life money is simply false advertising. It should just be called in-game/in-MMO purchases. I am aware that a donation is a gift for a cause, like charities and such. But when you donate for those, usually you don’t get anything out of it, other than the feeling of benevolence in your heart, a good reputation, or maybe a pat on the back. So in other words, when you truly donate, you don’t necessarily get a material incentive out of it. Hence, why PokeMMO calling the purchase of reward points with real money “donations” is just clear false advertising and an attempt to hide the fact that a profit is being made. If it really was a donation, it’d go along the terms of: “If you enjoy our game, please consider donating to our cause for support” Meaning that people would donate purely to support the game and not for any other reason. In other words, you wouldn’t be getting any reward points if it truly was a donation. Because by that logic, I’m “donating” if I buy Gems on Clash of Clans or PokeCoins in Pokemon Go. Not implying that PokeMMO is 100% P2W as you can win without spending a cent. Just pointing out that calling micro-transactions “donations” is inaccurate and false advertising. Comment below if you want, I’m just making my case/point clear.
  5. With all the nerfs and “fixes” done to gameplay, the economy has already been ruined to where if we got full-access(perma-keep) to all the legendaries(including Ubers), nothing really would change. And yes, while legendaries could make gyms/e4 easier, that’s not entirely a problem. Because: 1) The Gym leader AI’s here are quite advanced and aren’t potatoes like they can be in the vanilla games. So even if we got the full legendary set, employing them is a whole other story, especially against advanced AI’s. 2) Gym Leaders/E4 currently have access to legendaries and other mons we cannot access. It would simply balance the scale from near-impossible tasks to an even fight. 3) Gyms/E4 already have had reward yields nerfed and devalued plenty of times. So including the legendaries(as well as Ubers) would merely cause a similar devalue, which again isn’t that big of a deal. 4) If difficultly is THAT big of a deal, then they can just as easily make the Gym rematches lvl 90-100 as opposed to the casual lvl 80. 5) Regarding legendaries, you’re acting like they’re so invincible that only Uber legends can beat Uber legends, which is not the case. Plenty of non-OU/Uber mons can defeat them(which the gym leaders/E4/PvP players could easily possess) Ex: Froslass/Cryogonal outspeeds Rayquaza and one-shots it with Ice Beam, even if the former aren’t 252 Sp Attack Ev invested/natured. Ex 2: Sableye/Spiritomb completely wall Mewtwo, not only in terms of typing, but there’s no non-STAB move Mewtwo has that can OHKO, which can allow for antics on the SE/ST side. et cetera, et cetera, et cetera..... (and yes, I’m aware that those specific matchups won’t occur EVERY TIME, but those are examples of Pokémon that can easily shut down Uber legendaries that are not of the Uber class, or even OU at that) And I’m not gonna bring dungeon economy up entirely since we don’t have them yet, and hence we don’t know how they’ll affect the economy. However, if it’s true that dungeons will function similar to the Elfbot quests, in terms of Revive and Potion use, it completely evens out. By that, I mean depending on the difficulty of the dungeons, that would mean less or much more Revives/Potions/Elixirs being bought/consumed, as opposed to the possibly lesser amount used in Gym rematches. But again, until dungeons officially come out and we see the mechanics behind them, this segment is pure speculation.
  6. So Sinnoh WON’T be a humongous cash machine after all
  7. Wait, sableye gets frisk? I know the Gothita and Shuppet line get both Frisk and Thief, but also sableye?
  8. During horde battles, whenever you click on which Pokemon to attack, the ones with items should have a little item box next to their name(like the ones with items in your party do). That way, you won’t thief/kill the wrong mon Edit: Have this only work when the Frisk ability has already been played
  9. So the leftovers economy has been destroyed then?
  10. Ever since this update, whenever I used Pay Day with Persian on encounters, it'd say the normal "Coins Scattered everywhere", but after they faint, it doesn't say "Trainer picked up $$$" and I don't get any $$
  11. They should also remove quick claw from meowth
  12. Well @Dibz , you were right about one thing. Lost Cave is now the shiny hunting area for Gastly.
  13. It seems we gotta COOPoperate to get to the bottom of this one
  14. Simple solution: Don’t do E4 rematches. (Unless it’s storymode E4, then in that case, don’t give up)
  15. Again, there’s over 50+ legendaries in existence, so that “special” status isn’t nearly as significant as it was back when it was just the birds, Mewtwo, and Mew. Trying to replicate that “special” state on all those Uber legends is a terrible idea that won’t end well. I will leave it on that note. Once dungeons either come closer or come here, we can see how they affect the economy(or any updates prior). Then, we can debate on this more since we’ll have more background.
  16. I already said, Legendaries and Shiny Legendaries will dominate the GTL. If dungeons function similar to the elfbot events and Legendary shiny rate is also 1/30k, that'll make them hard to get, and thus worth more on the GTL. And also considering that it'll take much more potions/revives for the dungeons that people are willing to use. An economy that has already fallen out of balance and despite your "protests" won't come back into balance anytime soon. Not only with this new update, but especially when they made genderless-mons like Metagross and Magnezone breedable, which significantly lowered the value of breeding them. Yet everyone is jolly good lucky about those. But no, we can't have perma-keep legendaries because it'll ruin PvE, even though hardly any people do the Gym rematches and even less do E4. It'd "greatly" affect the least used form of income in the game.
  17. Clearly you haven’t read the previous comments
  18. As @Pizzachu said, the main goal of Pokémon is to CATCH THEM ALL. And you cannot exactly do that if any of the Pokémon can’t be perma-kept, including Uber legends. Uber legends with restrictions is much better than none at all. They could be used for showing off, casual play, contests, etc. And before you or someone else says, “Oh, but that’ll make them less special”, keep in mind there’s 50+ legendaries in existence. So a Pokémon being “Legendary” doesn’t nearly mean as much as it did back when it was just the birds, Mewtwo, and Mew. Also, Uber legends are consistently used in many tourney/competitive formats with restrictions, most common being 2 per team. Fact being, a majority of the VGC players had at least 1 or 2 Uber legends on their teams. And if that’s not enough, I should also remind you on how last year, they had a “Legendary” year, where they gave away the Uber legends via code/WiFi access. Not to mention the countless legendaries you can get on GTS, for something as small as a Caterpie even(Believe me, I got a Kyogre for a Magneton). Trying to replicate that “special” status and enforcing it on all the Uber legends os a terrible idea and will not end well. And also, like it was said, you cannot use Mewtwo/Rayquaza for Gym/E4 rematches, even when they are under your ownership. They could easily code the other Uber legends to be treated the same way.
  19. That would actually be a pretty solid idea
  20. Something tells me you’re gonna find a broken method and report nothing.
  21. This newest update is making farming easier. With sinnoh coming shortly and lucky egg and amulet coin becoming consumables, gym/e4 rematches will be less significant in the economy
