  1. A possibility exists that this might be coming along with the next update. Because keep in mind not ALL the abilities are implemented properly yet(best example being Illusion, which is why we can't get Zorua or Zoroark). Plus, if you do remember, in gen 4, cute charm had a glitch which if your secret id and trainer id alligned in a certain way, it could raise the shiny rate to a 20% rate as opposed to the current 1/30k. Again, I believe it's something they're working on, but it might take longer as to make sure the glitch doesn't happen.
  2. No. The rate is 1/30k. Which translates to 1/30k -> 1/27k. So it's not even worth wasting your reward points on. Don't get donator status.

  4. yes I know. the thing is there should be a way to toggle the animations so it'd go back to be that way. Because that would make catching pokemon(especially in safari zone) go much quicker.
  5. I remember back in the older days of MMO where the way catching pokemon went was that it would only show the shaking/catching animations if you actually caught the pokemon. And if you didn't, it would just say "The Pokemon failed to be caught" and not shake at all. There should be a way to bring that back or at least have a way to toggle it so it only shows shaking/catching of the ball if the pokemon is actually caught. That way it would make catching pokemon go a lot faster.
  6. I'm seeking white herbs so that I can craft pp maxes. I know I can get them via bp at the frontier/subway, but that gets a bit tedious especially on the higher levels. Does anybody know if there's a location where I can get white herbs via pickup or via wild pokemon holding white herb and where?

  9. In the hoenn section of mmo, next to fallabor town, there's a route that has a house that crafts various items when you bring them "soot" from running into those gray patches on the ground. The thing is though, you cannot use repel otherwise you cannot collect the soot. They should adjust it to where you can use repel and still collect soot at the same time. Especially now since all the flutes that can be crafted there are now useless since they've lost their special abilities. *edit: didn't realize this was in the general discussion until after I posted it. I meant to put this in suggestion box*
  10. That still doesn't exactly answer my question. How does thief failing if it faints the pokemon make that big of a difference? It really doesn't.

  12. and explain to me how exactly making it so thief doesn't work on fainted pokemon fixes this? Exactly, there's no difference. Also, keep in mind, the rarity of the items still stays the same, so gtl doesn't get affected at all.
  13. there's nothing wrong with more success on stolen items. It wouldn't affect the prices on gtl.
  14. that doesn't make any sense at all. If thief worked regardless of whether or not the pokemon fainted, it's not like the market would crash or anything since the rarity of held items wouldn't be affected.
  15. That still doesn't exactly answer my question. What is so wrong with being able to use thief like in the main games, especially since items on pokemon on rare to get anyways. What's the point in making it so party member HAS to take damage in order for thief to work?
  16. Ok, I know that a whole bunch of features in this game have been altered for the sake of the MMO and to not break the economy. Like having a shiny rate of 1/30k and making sweet scent cost 5pp per use outside battle. Here's the question, why in the heck do they make it so thief doesn't work if you faint the pokemon holding the item? It's pointless to make that addition and wouldn't negatively affect the economy in any way if they made it parallel to the main games. But that's just me. Why do you guys think this is so?
  17. It's a bit difficult finding Mewtwo/Rayquaza for Dex purposes especially when you don't know whether or not they're in the wild or owned by a Trainer. So my idea is that there should be a button or something related to mewtwo/rayquaza that you can go to so you can see whether or not it's at large in the wild, or owned by another trainer. And a bigger plus to that would be if it's under trainer ownership, which channel they're on and what route they're on so you can go there and challenge them for it.
  18. I need a bit of assistance and answers. I'm trying to transfer the volume of the game to my earbuds, but whenever I plug them in, no matter how high the volume is on, nothing plays. Here's where the question comes in, can you not listen to the volume through headphones or what's going on? If anybody knows what the problem is and how to fix it, that'd be great. (Discard this in trash, I have solved the problem)
  19. Firstly, I've already gotten Donator Status and found it to be a waste of reward points since it contributed nothing towards my shiny hunting. The whole time I had donator status, 0 shinies. And I'm currently on my 4th attempt at a shiny caterpie and so far am stuck on 4,200 encounters(previous 3 I gave up at 6k each time respectively). Secondly, the market impact would be like the premier ball situation. Those things were rather low in price during the halloween event since everyone could get them via goody bags. But now since it's been a while since the halloween event's conclusion, they're back up at a rather high price(60k at least). Same case would go for the specific shiny pokemon. Yes, it would lose some value, but it would go back up over time. Thirdly, I mentioned that this could be an opportunity to give some spotlight to some underrated pokemon. Such as Sunkern, Caterpie, Zigzagoon, etc. Doesn't mean that the devs HAVE to make dratini or another valuable pokemon one of those mons. Fourthly, if they do end up adding this in, we still wouldn't know what the increase would look like. It could be a raise to 1/15k or 1/8k, but we wouldn't know because that would be up to the devs.
  20. Ok, so I"m sure a few of you play(or have played) Pokemon Go, hate or like. And I'm sure some of those players are familiar with Community Days, where on a certain day in the month, for a 3-hour window, a certain pokemon species(Cyndaquil, Dratini, Pikachu, etc.) has higher spawn rates and a slightly increased shiny rate. Here's where the idea comes in: I think we should have a similar type of monthly event on PokeMMO. Where on one day of every month(weekend would be recommended, but it's ultimately the devs' decision for when), for a 3-hour window, a certain Pokemon species(first stage pokemon most likely) will get some spotlight. And during that 3-hour time, that Pokemon and that Pokemon ONLY will have an increased shiny rate, since without abilities there isn't exactly a way to increase spawn rates of a certain mon, especially throughout all the regions like it can in PoGo. It'd be a great way to motivate people to not only focus on comp, but also go for some of the more underrated pokemon that may not be so meta-viable. And before you say that doing this would "break the market" with a shiny rate increase, here's where I tell you why that wouldn't be the case. Since it's a community day for a specific pokemon, that means that Pokemon and ONLY that pokemon gets the increased shiny rate during the 3-hour window, meaning every other pokemon retains their 1/30k chance of being shiny.

  23. I've seen that there's an Unofficial Tournament sub page under the Competition Alleys tab. Is it possible we could get an Unofficial Events sub page? That way, we can post about unofficial events such as shiny hunting parties, Feebas hunting, contests, and more. You know, the kind of events that don't necessarily have a "prize", just fun get-together activities.
  24. Is there a possibility that an "Unofficial Events" page could be created for events such as what I"m implying?
