Hello there! Today I would like to explain how you can modify the overworlds of your rom, this works especially for Heart Gold but might work for Soul Silver too. You need these tools: Nitro Explorer PokeTEX TileMolester Image editing software that keeps the palette (windows 7/8 paint does not work!) like Photoshop Download them here Now let's start! Open up your HG ROM with Nitro Explorer and navigate to: a/0/8/1 Click extract and save it to something like 1.nds Open now the file with pokeTEX and navigate to the overworld you would like to edit When you have found your Pokémon click Save poke, don't change the name Make a backup of your file (copy + paste it) Open the file now with TileMoleser (tm.jar) (you should select all files) and you will see glitchy stuff Go to Palette > Import from > This file and enter in: For small pokémon (32x32): Offset 4460, size 32 For big pokémon (64x64): Offset 16748, size 32 Go now to View > Codec > 4bpp linear, reverse-order The go to View > Mode > 2-Dimensional Finally go to Image > Canvas size and enter: For small pokémon (32x32): Columns: 4, Rows: 52 For big pokémon (64x64): Columns: 8, Rows: 104 Go 8 times to Image > Shift Right, or 24 times for big pokémon (64x64) Go to Edit > Copy to and save it as a png Edit the png to your likes, don't alter the glitch stuff at the top When you are done go to Edit > Paste from and select your png Shift back the to the opposite direction 8 times to left for (32x32) and 24 times to left for 64x64 Next for the shiney palette click the big arrow next to the palette and modify the colors to you needs Save the file and reopen it to see if some colors are messed up, if there are some messed up colors correct them save again and open it again Open PokeTEX again with your 1.nds file and go to the poke you want to replace Click on Open poke and locate the file youmade with TileMolester Click now on Unk. 1, and see if the file isn't dramatically changed If some colors are replaced, it might still show normally in PokeMMO If it is very messed up, try to correct the colors with TileMolester again The file 1.nds is now edited, open up Nitro Explorer and load your HG ROM again Select again the a/0/8/1 file and click Insert You now have changed a pokémon overworld sprite! I looked over across the forums and one caught my eye, it was the Pokemon X/Y Sprites IPS, Sadly i believe the person who started the project is inactive and/or gave up on it. So i have decided to start up where it left off, of course i would do minor upgrades and possibly get them to be animated, which would be amazing :) ! But if it does get to the point where i animate them, i wouldn't be able to configure the action of the moves [by myself]. So it would still look like a couple Bubble's or a Bite (Sorry) Also guys feel free to post your own X/Y Sprites Down in the comments, it would be greatly appreciated for some help :) Since my IPS is still in beta and is unable to be used in a ROM in this point i will be showing some pictures of the pokemon currently Integrated in the IPS. In Celebration of the PST Sever being launched, I finally decided to get up and finish the Emerald patch! Expect a more updated patch later in the week! Rejoice again moe fans! Through the efforts of a whole bunch of artists, Moetal, and myself, I've converted the Moemon Revival Patch for Fire Red over to Ruby, Sapphire, and, Emerald! If the game shows a white screen when launching the ROM, this is not at the fault of the patch! Read the Installation Instructions below to solve the problem. Have you ever wanted to get a generation 5 feeling to this game or don't even like generation 6 pokemon sprites(maybe these gen 6 sprites have a bigger reason as to why i am putting this here) and prefer generation 5 sprites? Well look no more because I am putting generation 5 pokemon sprites into gen 3. (also find it funny that the gba can make pokemon look like the ds version of pokemon) Just follow a few simple steps and you will have the sprites within your game as well. What you will need: IPS Patcher (google ips patcher and download it) A clean rom (or you can experiment with two ips at once) of pokemon firered (meaning a rom that hasn't been used by another ips) The Pokemon Black and White sprites Step 1: Open up the pokemon black and white sprites with ips patcher Step 2: Navigate to your pokemon firered rom and double click to apply the patch Step 3: Another window should pop-up and this one is to save your patched file (leave the name as it is or change it) Step 4: Put the patched rom into your pokemmo roms folder (or if two pokemon firered roms are in there remove the original one from the folder). Step 5: Run Pokemmo then when at the login, click the close button. Step 6: Click "settings" and then ds settings, then disable ds sprites.
