Due to unfortunate circumstances Aurora became unable to be active, so the guild became leaderless for a short period of time. In that time members of the guild and an allied guild leader nominated 2 members to co-lead Moonlight Sonata until Auroras return. These two members were Umbrae and Censored. Umbrae and Censored had a glorius reign, introducing the M4 and kept the guild alive. However, circumstances prevented Umbrae and Censored to continue leading the guild, and the leadership passed to Deshar. Deshar carried on the M4 and other traditions of MLS for a memorable reign. Deshar soon retired, though, and the leadership fell to the Senior Officers. After taking temporary leadership, members of MLS voted Tetz in as the official leader. Tetz then gave leadership to McMurphy who disbanded the group decided to make a band team as tribute to MLS. Welcome to the Arcanum Brotherhood Recruitment has started Name: Arcanum Tag: [Arcm] Description: Arcanum is a mystery sect of philosophers, priests, diviners and mystics. Members of the organization have dedicated their lives to acquiring knowledge about the whole PokeMMO world - thus broading their wisdom and power. They're jealously guarding secret knowledge in hidden, underground libraries. Members of the sect are often pacifist which are not using pokemons to combat. They're guided by the neutrality and peace - the rules do not allow them to participate in conflicts, but they're ordered to be mediators, referees, even judges. Finally - Arcanum adepts are divided in four factions - the Spoons (fanatics of psychic pokemons), Wings (dragon), Shades (dark) and Claws (ghost). Conditions: The candidate must be focused on the dragon, psychic, dark or ghost pokemon's type. At least one dominating Pokemon in his party should be representative of one of this types, but it's better to have more, because the position in society depends on the Arcanum Tournament which is combat of this types. Level of advancement is not important. Knowledge is important. 5 reasons why you should join Arcanum: 1. The main goal of Arcanum is to accumulate informations about the PokeMMO world - pokemos, trainer, teams, items and other stuff. This knowledge will be available only for the members, by special www with data-base of forum. The knowledge about PokeMMO is the key to be best trainer. There's easy to reach 100 lvl party, but it's hard to know everything about every pokemon, trainer and tactic. 2. There's a lot of fantastic ideas: Arcanum as a team has his own assets composite by the items donated by the members. This items (eg items to be held by pokemons) could be used by any Arcanum member. The trustee of the property is Arcanum's master (see below: "The hierarchy") - team's treasurer. Arcanum wants to create not only his own library, but also newspaper (newsletter). Arcanum has a project to create by complex, organizated breeding an upper pokemons in psychic, ghost, dark and dragon species. There's also a concept of creating a firt, public (to my knowledge) Arcanum Bank. Soon, in the cooperation with other team (eg Team Rocket?) we will start first PokeMMO lottery. 3. The Arcanum use to be high RPG guild. The players from Arcm shouldn't use in game words like "lol" or "wtf", but they should be a guardian of a climate and poke-atmosphere. We're all here to feel like a real pokemon trainers, that's why this game was developed, and I'm really disapointed when someone's breaking that by asking me eg for a level of my pokemon. 4. If the Arcanum will develop even as the gift shop in PokeMMO, the founder of Arcanum (lawyer in RL) is plaining to registrate legal association in one of Europeans countries to create legal personality and achieve possibility to collect money for the purposes of Arcanum. If, for example, PokeMMO administrators will release some strong psychic pokemon by large amount of dollars, the members of Arcanum will be first to achieve him, because they will be dispore their own assets in real world. 5. It's the only team directly focused on 4 types of pokemons: ghost, dark, psychic and dragons. Since that, Arcanum is just original choice. An application: If the candidate meets the requirements, he's sending a notification with 2 informations: In Game Name and Faction which he wants to join (Psychic/Ghost/Dark/Dragon). Application could be published on the forum or sent in a pm or e-mailed to: [email protected]. After some time the candidate will receive an invitation to Arcanum Tournament, which will decide on his position in the association (hierarchy: see below). Arcanum's Desiderata - 5 rules of any Arcanum's member: 1. Wisdom - "Knowledge speaks but wisdom listiens." - the main goal of member is not combat but achieving knowledge about PokeMMO world. 2. Trust - "An insincere and evil friend is more to be feared than a wild beast; a wild beast may wound your body, but an evil friend will wound your mind." - Arcanum members are supporting each other. Especially, they're guarding secret knowledge of their Brotherhood. 3. Neutrality - "From the moment this war began, there was, for this state, only one policy possible, neutrality." - members of Arcanum aren't engaging in large conflicts as a party - always as a mediator, arbitors and judges (eg referees in tournaments). 4. Pacisifm - "Peace is its own reward" - Arcanum's members usually don't use pokemons in battle, but they've respect for them and treat them as guides to wisdom. 5. Self-improvement - "We are shaped by our thoughts; we become what we think." - although the use of Pokemon to fight is officially banned, a dispensation is granted, if the fight is motivated by self-improvement of the mind - in tournaments and duels. Members of Arcanum should be the one of the strongest psychic-ghost-dark-dragon trainers in PokeMMO. Hierarchy: Your position in the hierarchy in Arcanum depends on your results in the Arcanum Tournaments, which are frequently organized in every month. The rules are simple. There are 3 cycles of initiation: 1st cycle - Arcanum Peons (members) 2nd cycle - Four Arcanum Scholars (officers in team and leaders of four factions) and former, pensioned Scholars (officers in team) 3rd cycle - Arcanum Master (leader in team and treasurer) and former, pensioned Masters (leaders in team) The Scholars' references are provided by Arcanum Master. Each scholar is able to type a few Arcanum's peons to help him in his task, thus this create kind of the "department" structure inside the association. But what is most important - each scholar is a leader of one of the four factions in Arcanum - Spoons, Claws, Wings and Shades. One of the four Scholars are of course also Arcanum Master during at least one month cadency, to the next Arcanum Tournament. Master is a treasurer is responsible for the assets of the organization - lucky eggs, common, best pokemons used in the external tournaments, Shinies and other stuff. Master is always also Scholar (semi-finalist in Tournament - see below) so he's also a leader of one of factions. To reach 2nd cycle you must beat in Arcanum Tournament every opponents from your faction (eg if you're a Peon with psychic pokemons you have to beat all psychic pokemon trainers in Arcanum Tournament). Applies a system cup so if you do this, you'll enter semi-final and by this moment became Arcanum Scholar. When you once do that, you can't be degraded to peon in the next tournaments - the title is life. Current scholars are active persons on the post, when former scholars don't have any responsibilities other than single peon. To reach 3rd cycle you must beat in semi-final and final of Arcanum Tournament every opponents - is a cup system so there's 2 combats to win. As in the case of Scholars the title of Master is life, current scholar is active person on the post when the formers are enjoying peace and quiet. Of course, every former Scholar could return to the active function by the Tournament, and the same applies to the Master. The First Arcanum Tournament will be announced soon, after the recruitment. Sch. 1. An example of the hierarchy of the eight members The organizational colors: purple, gold, dark blue. The organizational signs: pointy hats and hoods. Sch. 2. I Have an idea for the future!... We know regions will be added in the soon So why not take control of a region! Kanto Region: Lets say All the Adm's and Gm's host a tournament where the best of the best teams fight to own the Kanto region. Where if you enter the region a message comes up saying that for example: Cobalt Knights [CMjr] Reign over the Kanto region Leader: Officers: Members: Including that their Team Tag glows with a certain color so people know they own the region There are simple rules such as if they want to keep there place in the world of pokemon they have to stay the champion of the region so if next tournament the title for Kanto region is up for grabs... So if 6 teams wish to own Kanto they have to compete against each other and when there i one left they must fight the Reigning Champions! Now this is just and idea but it would make the Competitive world alittle more exciting There are rumors and talk of the Hoenn Region being added as well as the Johto (Sometime soon) But just imagine your team being noticed for owning a Region I could see this being a great way to show how strong your team is and that you can hold your own in the world of PokeMMO In my opinion this is an awesome idea. :D Thanks for the support! So the idea I have is that teams should be able to have their gyms, exactly like the everyday poke gyms we're all familiar with. I call the idea TAEM GYMS. Here are more details: 1- Qualifying teams to have gyms: Not any team should be allowed to have their own gyms because that would be a big mess. I suggest the following qualifications for having gyms: a) Beating the Elite Four for each member. b ) Each member has to pay say 100000 Pokecoins to start the gym. c) The gym members must all have specific types up to 2. For example: a Ground/ Rock gym. 2- Gym location: Gym locations should be flexible. For example, gyms can be started in empty houses, in caves, in special buildings like the ghost tower, on bridges, in the sea.. etc. Moreover, maybe PokeMMO can build special empty houses in each city for team gyms. 3- Gym activity: this is to make sure gyms stay active and fun at the same time. I suggest the following: a) Each channel can have different gyms in it for more fun. For example, there could be only one gym in Altering Cave in channel 1, but there could be another gym in the same place in channel 2 b ) Any player should be able to fight team gyms after beating the Elite Four. c) Players as well as gym members should gain money upon beating the other, just like the normal gyms we're familiar with. d) If a player beats a team gym, he/she should be given a badge showing the name/type/date of the team gym he/she beat, which should give the player boosting points and bragging rights! e) Battling should be competitive. i.e: no potions, heals and revives are allowed during a team gym battle. f) Each player should have only one chance daily to fight a team gym, regardless if the player wins or loses. g) If a team gym is beaten way too frequently, it should be disqualified from having a gym. h) If a team gym has been inactive for over a week, it should be disqualified from having a gym. i) As I said earlier, a team gym should stick to a specific Pokemon type (or 2 max.). j) Pokemon levels of team gym members should be homogeneous. This tourney will be hosted on Sunday between 2 PM EST and 4 PM EST. We will meet at Viridian City. This tournament will be available to all members. GO TEAM MAGMA!! There will be many Magma events that will only be available to Grunts and above. Just because you are a member does not mean you can participate in every Magma event. Team Casualities Some of you might think its a spelling mistake of casualties but its not. Casualities is a self invented word that refers to how we play this game. Casual. We don't do calculations of which pokémon is the best. We don't grind hours and hours to find a pokémon with a certain pokenality. We don't select our party based on stats and moves. We use the pokémon we like. Or maybe we do. It doens't matter. Anyone is welcome. Thats the thing. We are casual. Fun is the most important thing. Catch them all is one of our goals. When you become a member of our team you add one new goal to your game: You want to help everyone of the team reach an as high as possible pokedex. Why the tag? Mard? Its a conjunction of the 2 creators names. In other words: because all the cool tags were taken... So rules: Don't do anything to anyone of your teammates without their agreement. Failing to do this will result in a swift kick in the butt and out of the team. Plus we will probably all try to report you or something just to ruin the rest of your day. For the rest: only guidelines. Have fun Help your teammates with completing their pokedex Don't beg or anything, if you aren't going to get it by just asking someone, don't keep nagging. Don't critise other people about their choice of pokémon. If they really like their ratata, support them in it. Become a pokémon master.
