How are moves inherited when breeding?

How are moves inherited when breeding? I want to teach my pokemon move tutor/tm moves right now, but I plan to breed it later. Is it a waste, or will those moves be inherited? How does the game choose what moves are inherited? Is there a priority?

Egg moves > TM/Tutor > level up move both parents know. Additionally, moves are overwritten by index number so if your parents have multiple TM/tutor moves you're trying to inherit, you're more likely to get gen 5 moves than gen 1 moves.

 

Thankfully, there's a breeding window that tells you which moves the baby will end up with, and you can use move deleter to erase any moves that get in the way. Only costs 1k per move.
