How to make the most of your gym re-runs

Hi all, I was recently inspired by a conversation within my team about what is the best way to perform gym runs.

 

Some people used 2 charms and finished every gym and others would use 1 charm and finish most gyms.

 

So the point of this topic is to figure out what charms and methods are the best for whatever your needs may be.

 

 

Background info - 

 

I used $9,000 as my base line for money earned per gym without any charms. (some gyms give more and some give less but I used this number for consistency and convenience)

 

Additionally, I used 25 gyms as my bench mark for how many can be done in 1 hour. (most experienced players with the correct team achieve this fairly consistently)

 

And it should be obvious that I am using prices for charms at the current price. If the prices go up or down it may change the results.

 

There are three choices a player has when it comes to charms for gym runs. Amulet coin (+50%), riches charm (+75%), and riches charm (+100%).

 

With that out of the way here's what I found:

 

1 charm gym re-run (25 gyms)

Gross income: $337,500 

 

Net profit: $321,500

 

 

Riches charm (+75%): $15,750 per gym

 

 cost: $54,000

 

Gross income: $393,750

Charm (+100%): $18,000 per gym

 

Cost: $95,000

 

Gross income: $450,000

 

Net profit: $355,000

 

2 charms all gyms re-run (33 gyms)

Cost : $149,000

 

Gross income $5760,000

 

Net profit: $427,000

 

It should be noted that the final 8 gyms will take approximately 30 minutes to complete. After that you can choose to battle rich trainers or just let your charm run out.

 

In conclusion the differences in what method you use for a gym re-run is marginal in the grand scheme of things. So the most important thing is to do whatever you're comfortable doing! That is going to have the most impact on your runs.
