During a PvP battle, always display in our battle window the name of the opposing Pokémon's species as it is in the Pokédex.
Some players deliberately replace the name of a Pokémon with that of another species in order to mislead the opponent. Reading the combat window therefore takes more time and a mistake can cost the match dearly, especially in Doubles where there are a large number of actions per turn.
This practice is akin to cheating and takes away some of the fun.
