This application provides various features, including downloading additional content, managing counters, and launching specific components for the game PokeMMO. Features 🖥️ Auto Starter: Launch PokeMMO or any Pokémon encounter counter with a single click. 🌐 Download Center: Quickly download and install essential add-ons such as ReShade, strings, encounter counters, themes, and mods to enhance your gameplay. 🚀 Version Check: Stay up-to-date with automatic version checks, ensuring you're always using the latest features and improvements. 🎨 ReShade: Elevate your PokeMMO visuals with my custom ReShade preset, enhancing colors for a more captivating and immersive gaming experience. Media How to use Directory It is essential to place the application in the main PokeMMO folder to ensure proper functionality. After placing it, a desktop shortcut can be created for easy accessibility. Launching Click the "Start PokeMMO" button to launch the PokeMMO game. Optionally, start encounter counters for Gilans, Archetype, and Montally with the dedicated buttons. Download Center Access the "Download" button to open a menu with options for downloading essential content like ReShade, strings, encounter counters, themes, and mods. Once downloaded must use the buttons Bills PVE, Bills PVP, Teds Strings, and Rudes Strings these buttons will extract the downloaded zip files to install them properly. Encounter Counters Please make sure to use only one encounter counter at a time to avoid any conflicts with the other counters. If you need to switch to a different encounter counter, please make sure to manually uninstall the current one using its dedicated uninstaller. It's important to note that the Gilans Encounter Counter is the only option that is compatible with my ReShade Preset. Strings It's important to use only one set of strings at a time, uninstall strings if you want to try another set of strings, these are only English strings. Version Check Poke Manager automatically checks for updates on startup. If a new version is available, a prompt will ask if you want to update. Uninstallation Easily uninstall installed strings or ReShade using the "Uninstall" button. Information My program is dependent on the proper organization of directories, files, folders, and naming conventions. It is crucial to utilize the program for downloading files to ensure seamless functionality. To ensure the proper functionality of my program, it's important to note that your antivirus/firewall might potentially flag it as a virus which is a false positive. To remedy this, please grant necessary permissions within your antivirus/firewall settings. Unprofessional opinion: I strongly recommend against adding download options for ROMs. Unfortunately, PMMO mod team is not the highest power when it comes to ROM hosting/sharing and legality lol Link to comment

It is a false positive because the exe is made with pyinstaller and some antivirus/software will automatically flag it because of that, my program is made in Python. Link to comment

Hmmmm.. interesting that you find GEC the "recommended" counter choice even though GEC is no longer being supported. I would argue AC (Archetype Encounter) is on par or if not better due to it's small size, its reliability with no crashing/errors (like GEC gets) and vast amount of rich features the user can pick and choose from and we still support the tool. For the ReShade Preset, that is fair enough that the counter may not work with it... but, how is it supposed too??? AC is separate tool outside of PokeMMO and does not hook into PokeMMO. GEC does hook into PokeMMO which may be why it works. I guess the point I am getting to, why does the ReShade need to work on the counter??? Anyways, enough of my rant. Regarding errors with GEC, I don't really encounter any, except sometimes it won't hook into the client properly. As for the download link, I'm using Mediafire Premium because I had to pay for it. Every provider I tried had issues – either they didn't support direct download links or had API limits for bandwidth available for downloads. The way pyinstaller handles downloads when compiling your exe into a single executable file caused a lot of issues before I figured out how to get the downloads to work and store files properly. I'll test the GitHub link for your encounter counter later and see if it works without issues. Link to comment

This will ensure the users will always have the latest version similar to if they were doing it manually. If this is not possible, then I am going to have to request to have this tool taken down via the forums. As mentioned, I really enjoy this tool and I think it is a great addition to the customization community, but I cannot accept older builds to be obtained via the users from this manager. I am trying to gain some insight on how your utility functions, I would like to confirm whether or not you are cloning the archetype counter repository or are downloading the archive ref zip. Directly downloading instead of cloning the repository has the potential to cause issues. As @AnonymousPoke stated above we want to ensure the end user has the latest files. Speaking about functionality, how exactly does your updater utility work? Where is the content hosted? How can we tell what is being downloaded? Also, has anyone questioned if its safe to inject the ReShade dlls into the client over a long period of time? Could this potentially trigger anti-cheat systems? I would also like to discuss the potential of adding the archetype theme to the utility, as I feel like that would be even more useful compared to the counter. Link to comment

TheMatthew562 Posted March 7 Author Share Posted March 7 (edited) Release Notes 7.0.0 - This is a major release. - Brand new GUI interface. - The mod pack has been updated. - Archetype theme added to downloads - The auto-updater method has been completely revamped. - The direct download links download method has been updated and fixed. - Poke Manager will no longer start now unless it is placed in the proper directory. - I have enhanced the handling of files for downloads, extractions, and uninstallations. - I have revamped pretty much all of the code for better optimization and performance.
