My girlfriend and I have recently started Pokemmo and when facing new gyms we often check out the GTL to find a pokemon to help us beat the gym. We felt like being able to search for all pokemon with the 'water' type or 'ground' type would have been a great QOL feature for us.
I also think this would be great for people who are looking for a pokemon to round out their team but don't know exactly what they want but know generally what type coverage they need.
