Which region should i start in and what are the advantages/disadvantages from the others

All regions are the same, depends on what you want. In the end, you should complete all the regions. If u want to go for competition early, go for hoenn or unova where breeder is early accessed. If u like a quick story, go for kanto. Want company, go for Unova where everyone is rn.

Not much difference. Unless u go for monotype, like bug types will be more easily found in unova. Lvl cap is all around the same number. So just go for rng

Any you want. The story changes and the map(pokemon spawns etc), nothing else.

Kanto have some good spots to farm money, so Kanto - Unova - Hoen

Kanto (in my opinion) for a few reasons:

- Easiest story line: (Unlike Unova were you grind through bianca chatting).

- Generation: Has the original generation of pokemon (my preferred), with easy type advantage/disadvantage.

- Early Money Making: After accessing the house broken into in Cerulean City, you'll be able to go to the route south of there. You can catch Meowth with the known move payday. Using it once in battle earns you some extra money per battle (trainer or wild). This can quickly rake up your total earnings.
