Nidoran Egg move

Hello! I just have a question. I couldn't find a good place to post this so here goes.

I am wondering why my nidoran is not learning sucker punch from the parent (diglett).
I was told in game that all parent egg moves are passed down too so the mud slap shouldn't get in the way right?

All sources i search show that sucker punch is passed down to nidoran.
Can somebody explain this to me please? or if there is something i'm overlooking please let me know.

If you look at your pokedex and check the available moves for nidoran(female), sucker punch is not listed.

If you take a look at nidoran(male), it's listed as a tutor move.

To learn it, go to the Castelia Tutor. (costs 3 black glasses)

Edit: Seems like Sucker Punch is an egg move for MALE Nidoran but not female. That's weird but explains the confusion.
