Hey, dudes. I recently finished a 150-page webcomic depicting a team's complete journey through Kanto PokeMMO, but I wasn't allowed to post it due to several "inappropriate content" violations. Mind you, it was because I had the characters talk like actual PokeMMO players for accuracy, and anyone who's played more than a couple of days knows what I'm talking about. I feel it's a real shame to lose the whole thing over that, and I'm not willing to go back and castrate- I mean, censor it. So, here's what I'll do: I will post a few samples that, to the best of my knowledge, adhere to the forum's quality standards. That way, at least you'll all know that my tribute to this game exists. I'd tell you where, but it might be considered promotion/advertising of a non-PokeMMO service, and I don't want to go there. The character cast: Red, Yellow, Green, and Blue. Blue is kind of insane when it comes to grinding. The team doesn't always get along, but hey, they're only human. This was a sample of some typical team shenanigans. Questioning morality and motives is not uncommon here. *LATER* Intelligence is another significant theme. I've tried to deliver a balance of jokes and serious stuff throughout the narrative. I hope you guys can appreciate what a labor of love this really was. . . . Anyway, there's your impression. I'm not sure what to expect feedback-wise, but I felt I just had to share SOME of this on the PokeMMO forum, if only a little bit. I hope I've made someone's day. My problem with the .jar file was that it kept coming up as winzip-accessible. My friend Kloneman sent me a picture of his (working) folder, and his .jar appeared to be Java-run. Check it out. Now when I attempted to open it using Java, my system wouldn't cooperate. It just gave me this brief pop-up message: "Error: could not load main class: C:\users . . . \PokeMMMOCalculator.jar." I know it's the right file, because it's identified as JAR, but my Java was called "Java 32-bit," whereas Kloneman had "Java Platform SE Binary." That's the only thing I can think of; I don't have the exact right Java, and I can't seem to locate it anywhere on the Internet, which I thought would be easy. I've hit a wall, and Toxic isn't working.

Right, hopefully everyone can see what I'm doing with trying to get this IV calculator third party software running. My sound equipment sucks, so don't feel that you have to listen to the horrible in-and-out. In a nutshell, I've done the following steps . . . Download the file and open using winrar or 7zip (If you do not have winrar you can get it here http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm) Extract all files to your pokeMMO folder and overwrite everything it prompts you to (I suggest backing up your data folder) And I am thoroughly walled by the third step: RUN PokeMMOCalculator.jar from the PokeMMO Calculator folder. Well, let this be a learning experience for anyone aspiring to do Friday events. You gotta start the publicity campaign early, have your materials together ahead of time, and avoid certain real-world events . . . such as prom night. Evesa, I'll bet if you came back on right now, and suggested a rescheduling for the people who wanted to try this out, I'm sure we could work something out.

Well, it's never too early to think about next Friday's event. What do you guys want to do? We just did Bushido Hunger Games, we had a Hide-and-Seek a few weeks ago, we haven't yet done a Trivia game, and, uh . . . any other suggestions? I'm open to hearing about any possible prizes you'd want as well. Also, as an FYI for newer players, I'm one of the people in the team who does speed-runs. In other words, if you ever get stuck in the storyline, I have just the pokemon for getting you through. Just send me a message, or alert me in-game. Oh, and if you need certain TMs or items, I can usually get them for you too, if they're not Game Corner ones. My only customer seems to be Spxter, but a Fire Blast on Charmander or an early Amulet Coin makes things a lot more convenient.

At the moment, my mind is exhausted, and I think it will continue to be until finals are over for me. All the same, it's good to see you rethinking the Hunger Games. I know that a new video is in order, and that this is a big enough idea to keep refining (although we should still try to keep it simple if at all possible). Perhaps the next one should have a trial run of your ideas before we go official with it, but that won't be for a while yet. Looking forward to seeing the full potential of this game!

Well, even though it didn't work out quite as I'd hoped, it was still darn fun. I'm glad those of you who participated got so much enjoyment out of the Bushido Hunger Games. I'm not sure if we want to schedule another one for tomorrow at the same time, in good will of those who couldn't be on for Friday's, but I'll throw it out there as an option. Also, are these still good Friday times? Klone and I tried to accommodate for everyone, but by the numbers of people who couldn't make it to the event, perhaps we're going about this wrong. I still think it's good as is, but suggestions are always welcome.

From what I've seen, a bunch of people seem to be unable to attend Friday's event, so here's what I'm thinking. If there ARE enough people on to attend (I'm going to look for ten minimum), I'll go ahead with it. We may also have another at the same time on Saturday. Who's going to be the second Overseer? I need to know ASAP. If there are NOT enough people on to do it, I'll offer a list of alternatives of stuff we could still do, then take a vote. We could still do a trial run. I'm here to serve, folks.
