I know this, and it is why there is a lot of useless spam on those games.

I like being able to have a switch. Just something in the settings would do. I like this too. But with the switch, idea as well. What I mean by that is like this: I have mine switched off. You turn yours on. You find a shiny, it announces that you have. I would not see the announcement because I have mine switched off.

You need to use your words more correctly. Don't call my entire statement illogical, if you agree with parts of it. Either way, you do not know for sure that you will not crash, and when I say crash I mean the game not your entire computer, which you somehow assumed that. There are plenty of whisper D/C hacks out there, so I would not be surprised if you could D/C someone through whispers here. With all of that being said, it still will cause spamming issues even if there is no crash. TL:DR ~ Spam is spam and we should do what we can to avoid it.

It's not logical? Have you ever played an MMO where actions were announced globally? If you did you would realize what I am talking about. As soon as they see your name, you will be getting whispers from every new person in the game, every person who has an unanswered question, and to the random nice people that are just whispering you to say Congrats. Your entire chat would be green and you would have to turn off whispers.

What's the point in that though? Another line of text that is rarely seen due to the spam in chat, and if you do see it that you just know there is another shiny pokemon out there. Which we should all know anyways.

When you encounter a shiny pokemon, PokeMMO has a feature where SHINY will be next to the name. so for the example: SHINY Pikachu. There is no real need for the announcement.

To me, this would just create a lot of spam. Everyone sees when you encounter a shiny, and then you crash because half of the people online are now spamming you through whisper. -1 to this idea.

All I'm trying to get across is that it's a major change to the way the game is played. Something like that is a little extreme.

I was wondering if you guys are accepting new people? Although PokeMMO, and a recent increase in a liking of the TCG at my local gameshop, I have been looking into the competitive pokemon scene. I have learned quite a lot about the competitve way of the game, and I am still willing to learn when needed! xD I have already joined the Teamspeak even if I didnt speak much lol. I really just want a group of people to interact with while playing the game. It's boring when I see all these poeple and have no one to talk to lol. Especially with the chat spam lately.
